Ok it's official. I read it first at www.the-leaky-cauldron.org but Sean's own comments (not much) are at www.seanbiggerstaff.com/article.asp?id=52This is highly disturbing to me. However several reasons as to why he's not in the film came to mind: ~~~there's no Quidditch in the film ~~~Sean's agent negotiated for more money, so he's out (THAT often happens---more often than we think) ~~~they weren't happy with Sean's performance in COS (which I blame completely on the direction, if this possibility is true) Sean's comments allude to they had to cut something....Oliver Wood....but does that mean there'll be Quidditch WITHOUT Oliver Wood?! That's shocking, to the say the least, and if that's the case, I really don't care for the screenwriter's adaptation of JKR's books at all when it comes to the character of Oliver Wood.....I mean we SHOULD be able to see his fanaticism. Dear oh dear. QUIDDITCH IS LIFE. Donna

Yeah, from reading Sean's comments they had to cut some things from the book to make it into a two hour movie, but I can't see how they'd get rid of Quidditch as it's always a big part of the books. And if they don't get rid of Quidditch, how would they explain Oliver's absense? He's off dragon hunting today sorry?

I don't think that the movie would be too long with the Quidditch. I don't care; throw it in there......QUIDDITCH IS LIFE (as is demonstrated in my Quidditch fanlisting code at www.donnatopia.com. That's Donna. DONNATOPIA. <g> Donna, resident of Donnatopia P.S. Um, I have 193 Messages in my Private Instant Messaging area. Would anyone like to volunteer to help me clear them out? It'll only take a few hours. Or so.

I never thought about it but surely they'll be having Quidditch in GOF since they've got the world cup in there and all....maybe they decided to save Quidditch for that?

Or maybe they've had it with Quidditch. It's been in two movies. I mean, GoF is such a long book. How are they going to put everything in one movie? They can't, so they make selections. So I guess the GoF movie will be mostly about the tournament. And as for PoA they've probably also chosen for other aspects of the book, so they'll leave the Quidditch for what it is.
