Surely CC wouldn't bother with messages like that. As an actor he would be flattered to have fans. Plus he studied English for heavens sake, so it's safe to assume that his grip of the English language would be better than that!

As for SS: I wasn't picking on you, I just thought it was a pretty silly message to post on a board dedicated to CC by his fans! Plus I thought you contradicted yourself. If you want to be critical of things that's not a problem, but at least know what your talking about, and your opinion?

I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around all of this.

I really don't know what to say... on this thread, or the other one. Right now, I'm holding off on responding to the other one because I don't yet know how I feel about what S.S. said there.

I suppose that here, on this thread, an explanation is in order... at least from me. Anyone following most of my posts knows that I have a strong tendency towards self-declaration-- and I'm constantly declaring my own ethnicity. It's a side-effect of having faced some very negative and degrading behavior within the past year. It's made me a bit wary.

Perhaps I did react a bit strongly and maybe I was paranoid. But you all don't know what it means and how badly it hurts. It's a derogatory term having the connotation of being a white-American man's Southeast Asian sleeper. It implies being a mail-order-bride. It's arisen in some slang around here after the videogame "Sampaguita" came out of Japan. What could very well have been a typo was read as a degrading moniker, and I regret "flying off the handle." But I am nobody's "china doll" or "picture bride" or "sampiguita" or "geisha."

That was only an explanation, and I'm sorry to those of you that feel it is irrelevant to this discussion. A more appropriate response from me will appear after I've had a bit more time to process various statements that were made...

I am not so sure, but I guess things are getting taken out of context here.

To SS, I think it's offending that you say Sampaguita and I are rude on the basis of our skepticism towards your post. And Lord Voldemort is right, that line you used as an introduction was used out of context, especially since we've been trying to keep the board clean since the very beginning. There have been posters who claimed to know Christian and there have been rumors about him that we had discussed and decided that that kind of discussion was uncalled for. Besides, this is a MESSAGE BOARD, not a gossip-page. Your type of intorduction would leave us to believe that you COULD be Christian, since that we have no idea if he drops by here, but then again, as I implied, we're not fools around here. Not that I am accusing you of fooling us (since I have no idea what your intentions are), but your post had caused some doubts and suspicions from some posters here who are quite vocal about their opinions.

I do not know what you expect of a message board, but we can do better than cooing about Mr. Coulson. And we can do better than taking anonymous posters like you to the extent of rousing the possibility that we're a degree or so closer to Christian. Maybe it was your intention to humor us and probably ask you if you were Mr. Coulson, but then, that would be each member's discretion; it is inescapable that posters like me and Sampaguita happen to be a fan of Mr. Coulson and at the same time automatically question such topic.

And no, this is not a way to act superior to the 'less intelligent'. We are intelligent creatures around here because we act ourselves despite the code, and not go around pretending to be some mysterious git, who, I believe, is the stupidest thing one can do.

Okay, I have several things to say. One, that thing you did with "m...Mr.Coulson" to make us assume that you are him...do you really think that someone who was trying to disguise his/her identity would do that? There is a key called "backspace." Two, why would there be an entire message board devoted to Christian if he "had no fans?" Why would I bother posting so frequently if I didn't admire him? Three, Sampaguita and Mandragora and the others were simply stating their opinions, as you did. If you have the right to say what you want, so do we. Please think before saying that CC has no fans on a CC message board! Thank you.
