Regarding "The Fallen". I was a little confused by it... was it supposed to be an allegorical tale? Or was it just a post-pubescent RENT rip-off? The basic run-down of the story suggested scandal... impressive for a 20 yr old to write, which is why he was built-up in regard to the endeavor, but aside from that, there's a bit of a nihilist strain in it, but it gets buried under other stuff.

Must be. I am not so sure about that being a Rent rip off tough. Judging from the short summary and the title, obviously it might be a re-interpretation of the 'fallen' characters in the Bible... you know, the characters are quite named after characters such as Cain and Abel, Judas, Lucifer. I must say it is a daring work, considering he did the libretto and the premise is something that not a lot of writers dare to touch. I am on the first few pages of "God Knows", a novel by "Catch 22" writer Joseph Heller, and well, the style is a different approach at re-telling or say, reinventing stories from the Bible. I am not sure how Christian approached the treatment of the story... it got produced, so maybe some found it good ;D
