hey you guys--im not sure if you already know this (i just found out) but i was driving by the video store the other day and apparently in the U.S CoS is coming out May 3rd! surely it will be the same in the uk. sheesh, thats far too long to wait!

Hm, April is right before May.. so then it'll prolly be out towards the end of April or beginning of may and stuff..

do u know about the extras? this time i don't want kid games...altho they were fun, but i think i'd want like interviews with ALL the cast members...little documentaries about the new characters (Tom Riddle especially)...the making of the chamber scene would be cool...um, posters of ALL the characters...lol ;D ;D

Personally I don't know nothin' 'bout no extras <g>...but they sure better be better than the ones on HPSS/PS!!!!!!! <g>
They should include the following:

1) Rotating Views of Tom Riddle (this enables you to zoom in, using your remote control, on any aspect of actor Christian Coulson's face. Do you want the right ear? Would you like to look closely into his eyes? Would you like to memorize the structure of his elegant nose? Ladies, would you like to study his cheekbones so as to holographically simulate them yourself onto your own face for a future lifetime?)

2) Does Dan Have a Girlfriend? (this includes every single interview embarrassing moment in which Daniel Radcliffe was asked whether or not he has a girlfriend)

3) Change the Chamber Scene (this enables you to alter the scene to your heart's desire, ie the betterment of the entire Harry Potter book extraction/movie empire. Would you like more closeups on Tom's face? How would you like to hear more integral conversation between Tom and Harry?)

4) Add the Tom (you can insert an image of Tom Riddle into any scene in the movie. Would you like to see him in EVERY scene in the movie? Here you go!)

5) Follow Christian Coulson Around the Set (unbeknownst to us at the time, several young ladies who were extras in the movie brought videocams and followed our young Tom Riddle wherever he went. Here, in an exclusive offering, you will be able to see the BEST footage available. See Christian drink tea. See him walk to his trailer. See him as read a book on his break. See him smile at some passing Hufflepuffs. Watch him thru the window of his trailer as the makeup people curl his thick lustrous hair.)

Yeah, I read that...LOL....can ya believe it...I'm more apt to read the teen magazines now that I'm no longer a teen....but..I am highly more likely to buy the products displayed in teen mags than in say, the magazines that tell how to get your husband to come home early and articles on how to discipline your child

Um, I digress. YES, Angela, I heard that. And um, I'm curious to find out WHY exactly they were screaming like they were at a concert. I mean, I'm a teacher and heck, I've been to umpteen plays and stuff, and I can't remember any audience screaming like that. Hmm...

so what scenes are you crossing yoru fingers for on the dvd? i was looking through some stills on another site awhile ago, from before the movie came out, and there are definitely some they filmed and must have cut at the last minute -

- hagrid with the dead roosters
- lockhart's test
- a longer version of the duel (harry and lockhart, where lockhart drops his wand, maybe?)

so there's a good chance those'll be on the dvd. but what other lost scenes would you like to see?

personally, i'd like to see any character development for ginny whatsoever. the valentine. the scene with percy at breakfast. *something* to make her even remotely interesting - and suspicious. not to mention some explanation of how hermione got hair from millicent bulstrode's robes... as it was left in the movie, it was a little... er... potentially risque, shall we say?

and ms.poet - all your ideas sound lovely as well. sounds like a perfect dvd to me.

i want an extended chamber scene

and as extras i want cast interviews (especially cc), documentaires, etc

Sorry to rain on your parade but you know exactly what DVD`s gonna be like - Kenneth Branagh&Chamber of Secrets. Ken, Ken and more Ken. Plus Jason-is-the-meanest-wizard-alive-who-needs-Voldy-when-we-have-Jason. Mark my words you`ll get ZERO CC footage! If there had been any it would`ve featured in promo material on E!, ET,Making of CoS. But zip. Ken,Ken,Ken,Jason,Ken,Ken,Ken. And expect tribute to Richard Harris.

Some actors gain the momentum from big movies (Orlando Bloom, for example). CC isn`t one of them, sorry. CoS is hardly his big break. But his time will come. His talent will get the chance to shine and than we`ll get recognition he deserves. When the timing`s right. You never know why it is good that he didn`t become overnight sensation with CoS. It`s better to arrive to stay than to become Flavor of the Month and fizzle for good when your month is over.

i know its highly unlikely we'll get a lot (if any) cc footage on the dvd but we can always hope!

as much as i love orlando it does kinda annoy me when i see how many roles/how much recognition he got from the movie, when actors like dominic monaghan and billy boyd didn't get nearly as much. i can't judge billy as i've only ever seen him as pippin but i know dominic is an amazing actor, he's shown more range in roles than orlando has.

Yeah, I saw that article. It's weird... Then again, maybe not so weird. They were probably cheering because he is sooooooooooooo gorgeous!!!!!!!! Oh, and in that same issue, there was an article on Orlando Bloom! Ahhh! A sacred Teen People issue. Sorry about the exclamation points, I'm a little hyper.
