Well there's also the real life stories of Jim Carrey, who was ALWAYS Andy Kaufman, even out-of-scene- or Daniel Day-Lewis, who apparently employed "The Method" for "Gangs of New York." Of course, there's always those amazing people you hear about who can "turn it on, turn it off" at a moment's notice. As an actor, I think there is NOT just one method; different people need to use different methods! Just use whatever works.

i know what you mean, i was just saying well you cant really compare him to other people because he does look so different in different pics.
i know, as studying acting and performance, that pure talent is defining your roles. i used to like Matthew Perry, but in his films i found he was still too much Chandler and didnt really change character.
last week i performed Hiawatha and i had to pursue 2 roles (Nokomis and Storyteller) and my teacher said to me in my lesson just now how well i made it clear that they were 2 completely different characters.
yes is it a great acting skill and i'm chuffed that i have it cos i didnt think i did. but i think CC was extremly good at pursueing the part of Tom Riddle as from a glance (of other pics) i wouldn't of thought he would fit at all but he did it brilliently.
^^well thats what i'm gonna tell him in my letter to him. ;D

and with ioan and CC, um that pic, they have the same hair cut, that's why they look the same.... ;D Nope he looks the same in lots of pictures, and I think he looks more like him as Tom:) |

It all depends on his hair, I think. I like it best when it's longer (COS). I also like his FS hair. Other times he has it really short (LIACC) or really curly (premiere).

you know what i can see REAL talent in this boy! if i was a casting director i'd be chasing after him! i really think he will go very far, his acting skills show through so well. Jim Carreys a good actor too. but the name Christian Coulson will be as well known as JCs one day! i promise! i wish i could act with CC! - ooh a love scene!!!   ;D  |

yeah cc has real talent  i was quite surprised the other day at the two towers premiere when people actually knew who cc was! lol jim carrey is a good actor too. |

no i dunt think cc was at the tt premiere... just a dude that looks like him, heh.
yeah i totally agree that ioan looks like cc! in the cc-only-has-5-pics-in-the-world days, i'd find pics of ioan and think they were christian! it just that they're both in the forsyte saga AND hornblower. they look very similar, so i found it hard (i'd probably still find it hard) to tell the difference. now that i've seen more pictures of cc, i can kinda tell if it's him or not. i wonder what he looks like when wakes up in the morning (or rather, when he doesn't have any makeup or much hair-do on).

lol this bloke stood near me was going on about the harry potter premiere and he was saying something about the lesser know cast members and he mentioned cc's name! i immediately jumped into the conversation with stuff like "wow u know who cc is? he's an amazing actor!" etc etc!
i didnt have a pic of him on a shirt but i did have my slytherin scarf on with badges saying 'tom riddle and the chamber of secrets', 1 with a pic of cc on and 1 with the slytherin logo on! so i did my cc promotion that day! lol ;D
