Um, I would *think* that "...they clocked me..." means that they were *struck* (something stopped for them; ie something appeared to be relevant) or they watched him as he went by.

Jasmine, Thanks!!! ;D I like your avatar---did you make it? (And how do people MAKE avatars, btw?) Another thought on the term "clocked": maybe Christian made it up!!! After all, he IS a very creative person. Personally, every now and then I'll throw in a 'new' word in my poems. Donna

glad you all liked the pics ^^ Since English is not my first lenguage I actually went to the dictionary to see what "clock" in some kind of sense as a verb could be. Since I found nothing I just went "by the context of the sentence" XD Guess I wasn´t far away (me happy, thanks for the explanation I know how to make Avatars, though not as cute as the ones many users do in here. I use Photoshop. ( oh! my name is in the page, me happy, me happy

More distractions from my finals. They're adorable pics, but he looks so young. But he looks rather different in both pics. With the mood I'm in at this point, I think I prefer him in the burgundy shirt. And if that was me interviewing him, instead of asking that horrible Kenneth Brannaugh question, I'd ask him this: In articles preceding the movie's release, one of your friends was quoted as saying: "He's got a very innocent and open look about him but he was excellent at playing the truly Machiavellian parts. I think it must be just this quality that the casting people saw when they chose him." So we have a theory on why you were chosen. What attracted you to the role? Why audition to become Tom Riddle?

good one. i think i would probably want to ask him, since he's worked in just about every milieu of acting (film, tv, stage... has he done commercials yet? radio plays? *hehe*), which one he's more drawn to. like, if he felt that one was a purer form of acting than the others.

I can't believe they didn't recognize him. *gasp* I hope if I ever go to U.K., I'll know him when I see him. Probably, since I've spent so much time gazing at his picture...

You know what, there's this tale of a person who is so taken by the image of another person he/she gets almost engulfed by it, and by the time that person sees idol, he/she doesn't even recognize him/her. ;D It's quite a tale, we gotta admit. I can't help it, I am concentrating on media studies for the moment, and the whole issue of imagery/spectacle. So far, what I can say is that we have projected our ideals on Christian Coulson (great actor though still the questionable/mysterious real-life personality), and this is our form of consumption. Christian is a product of the industry, and the fans just buy him. And just like any product, there's the possibility of getting tired of it. Makes me think if he continues to be such a big hit it becomes overboard, there's the possibility of losing the art in acting and all will be plain business. Quite Marxist, but then we don't even know if CC is a Socialist-Communist when it comes to ideals ;D Remeber, there are still such minds in the contemporary capitalist society.

I'd probably ask him...Actually, I don't know what I'd ask him. Knowing me, I bet I'd be too nervous to do anything but blush and stutter.

Well, that might help explain why, when I'm out in public, like in a shopping mall, people will often walk right straight into me as if I'm not there. Mandragora, is it a story, as in fiction? Is it in print? Or just a little tale that people in teaching media pass on? A book? I'd be interested in this (as I am very interested in this sort of thing--what you're studying). Donna
