Most actors plays for the other or both teams probably because acting is such a gay job, they put on make-up and wigs and such feminine sh*t and friggin` like it! That isn`t very manly. So anytime you see a "macho" on the screen be it Maximus or Aragorn or Legolas or XXX remember that this guy has just got off make-up chair and that he has more faundation, poweder, mascara, lipstick, etc on him than you do on your first date. Not to mention wigs, that`s quite embarrassing. I watched one of those Making of LOTR specials and they show make-up session and putting wigs on actors and cross my heart I wouldn`t like to have an actor boyfriend because they love all that girly sh*t and I wouldn`t be confortable with a guy who`s into that even if he uses his profession as an excuse (to live up his secret fantasies). Not that I have prejudice against these people, I just don`t find the profession sexy cause it isn`t just the final result that looks splendid on screen. For example, Aragorn is yummy but in reality he`s Viggo in wig and make-up and that, I`m sorry, isn`t a sexy thing, it`s laughable and quite gross.

I would like the time to say here that once again, Romana, you have put down one of my chosen vocations and indeed, most of the people I have loved most in this entire lifetime. I can speak from direct experience that there ARE male actors who do NOT care for putting on makeup and other of that "girly s**t." Acting is an art, a form of expression of life, and NOT a "gay job." If there are many of us who are gay or bisexuals or whatever then that's how it is. If you don't find the profession sexy then why are you here ? Christian is an actor who obviously takes great care and mind in being one. And when you say that "...Aragorn is yummy but in reality he's Viggo in wig and make-up and that....isn't a sexy thing, it's laughable and quite gross" you sound as if you are putting down not only the role of Aragorn but the extremely talented, reputably gentle and kind human being who plays him. Not to mention the entire profession of acting again.

"I want a quiet life. I'm going back into the closet. But I can't get back into the closet, because it's absolutely jam-packed full of other actors." that's a quote by ian mckellen and i think it's true! legolas isn't macho

i've only just seen ur post donna, didn't see it when i replied earlier, my computer is being stupid 2day anyway, yeah it is an insult to viggo motensen "For example, Aragorn is yummy but in reality he`s Viggo in wig and make-up and that, I`m sorry, isn`t a sexy thing, it`s laughable and quite gross." viggo is an excellent actor, poet, painter, photographer......they may be considered 'gay jobs' but that doesn't mean he is gay!

I have to say that I don't like actors who can't act, but are popular for their looks..and don't want to say any names , but if I had heard that Christian would have done a horrible job in Cos, I think I wouldn't be here anymore..sorry, If It sounds hard, but thats my opinion. I'm not here only for looking at poeple, I want to see how they bring my imagine charackters to live! If they are pretty It's just a pleasant spin -off... a very pleasant If they are only pretty, I wouldn't discuss about them, because there would be hardly little to discuss about (he's hot and blah blah blah..) Tom Riddle is obviously a charakter you can discuss about and if he want to play this interesting Charakter when he read the books he'll choose hopefully other good roles.... *hope, that I haven't say too much*

Lizifer, have you seen some of Viggo's art? There are a few websites on him that show some. He seems to me to not only *write* poetically but *be* poetic inside (does that make any sense?). ....btw....Legolas ISN'T supposed to be macho, silly!! Aya I agree with you about "pretty people." I have never been drawn to actors much less people for only their looks. There has to be something more. For instance, I don't understand how some women can go to male strip clubs....I mean, I would feel nothing seeing indiscriminate men I don't know take off their clothes. That may seem weird to some, but that's how I am. There has to be *something* more than just the face...there has to be *something* behind the eyes. Donna

i agree with aya and donna bout not liking actors for their looks, i wouldn't be here if i thought christian was a crap actor. the main reason i wanted to see him in 'romeo & juliet' was becausei think theatre shows an actors true talent, and christian definately has talent i've seen some of viggo's art and stuff online, i don't actually have any of his books or anything, i really want one tho, it's just i haven't found anywhere over here that sells them i know what u mean about hm seeming poetic inside. i'm planning on going standing outside the london two towers premiere so if i'm lucky i may get to meet him i know he isn't supposed to be macho, it's just romana made him out to be macho in her post and donna i agree 100% with what u say about women going to male strip clubs!! that totally does nothing for me i don't find big beefy men attractive anyway!

lol i actually saw that first pic of cc (with him and the book) and totally fell in love (okay cheesy, but i just adored that pic!). that's how i got into the finding pictures thing... cuz i wanted to see more pics of him. ;D
i've seen the forsyte saga (ep 5 + 6), and from the little that i've seen, i'd say that he was a pretty decent actor. and i don't think the wb would hire bad actors for a big thing like harry potter, would they? i've read many reviews of hp, and the ones that mention christian's performance are pretty much all positive, as in i've haven't read a single negative!
lol and about the strip clubs. i'm not old enuf to go to one and i haven't been to any, thank goodness. i agree with MsPoet and lizifer. i couldn't imagine myself enjoying a male strip club. in fact, i would find that totally gross.

Well I`m sorry for being brutally honest and I`m not putting down anyone. It`s my opinion which can`t be changed. I appreciate these people`s art but the make-up/wig thingly is a turn off for me. And Donna, you`re suggesting me to leave the board ("why you are here?") only because I said something you disagree with? So over the top and immature. I`m not going anywhere.

Romana, I didn't suggest you leave the board, not at all; I simply asked a question.
