I read that Steve Kloves is done or just about done with writing POA and is about to start on GOF. I'm wondering if they'll find they need 3 hours for POA..... I have also read that Chris Columbus said they have considered releasing GOF in 2 parts. Which at first glance is bad but on second glance, LOTR is really ONE, not three, books. I can still barely wait to see who plays Cedric Diggory (not that I want to see jailbait---ahem---but I am curious.....oh wait...maybe it'll be my luck and they'll cast someone in their 20's just like they did Christian ;D ) Donna

wouldn't suprise me if they made 'poa' a 3hour movie, that way they could keep more of the original story! 'gof' in 2 parts sounds good to me, alltho i don't know how i'd cope with the wait between the 1st and 2nd part, waiting between the lotr movies is killing me!! oooooh i'm definately looking forward to cedric but like u said, has to be in his 20's really!

I would love the WB if they made it three hours. I would be able to sit through it no problem. It's just they have to fit everything in, that's what worries me. Hey, I'm not the only one waiting for Ced? ;D I guess not. I just hope he *cough* doesn't turn out to be like that Oliver Wood character.. yeah lol. Millions of fangirls to deal with.. then he gets all full of himself... and I'll stop there I don't think they could do GoF any other way. If it was just in one movie, there would be TONS of things missing.

yeah i hate it when stars get bigheaded coz of all the fangirls there was a post somewhere, think it may have been when i was lurking at the chris rankin board, saying how someone had heard that this guy had been cast as cedric, they posted a pic of him and he looked hot, can't remember what his name was tho......if i get bored tomorrow i'll try and find the post again

I thought that was going to happen to Daniel awhile back, but apparently it didn't and I'm glad ;D
I think I saw that post too, but it was either on the CRO board or on a page that had rumored cast with pictures.

They shouldn`t make a 2-parter out of GoF because first part isn`t that interesting except for Voldemort and death eaters. IMO, they should cut out crap like whole Dursley thing (Dursley-less flick, yay!), SPEW, most of Rita Skeeter and Hagrid`s boring classes and make Quidditch Cup much shorter cause it isn`t the game that counts but the Death eater`s antics at the championship. Also, they should expand the Riddle family murder, at least show us how it was, whether Tom said "Hi dad!" before AK-ing him and grandparents or whatever. I`m not talking as biased fan but the fact is that it would make things interesting, such a big moment in Dark Lord`s life, I doubt Rowling will flashback to that with more details in future books.

i never thought about that, the is no real 'action' in the 1st part of the book, so would be kinda pointless making it into a movie they could definately cut spew and the dursleys out, it has no relevance to the overall story! a long riddle family murder sounds great!

I bought my tickets today for Friday night!!!!!! WOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I was so relieved. ;D I told my brother it's a 9:00 show; he said "Oh that's late," but I explained how the other one is 5:20 pm, and he and my mom and friend work, etc. He mumbled something about wanting to go out with his friends after and I said, "......this is IMPORTANT to me." Share in my life, brother. Share in my life. Donna

LOL.....I hope Christian does a good job.....I hope my family THINKS he does a good job...... You know, after I got offline last night, I was thinking about Christian (lol) and his performance in the Forsyte Saga, and those kid-boyish innocent looks and motions and all that, and it occurred to me: THAT SAME PERSON IS PLAYING VOLDEMORT ? ! ? ! ? ! ? This should REALLY be interesting. Donna

i'm thinking when the movie has finished to stay stuff really loudly like "man, that guy christian coulson who played tom riddle was excellent, don't u think?" to try and get a few ppl to notice him just shows how good an actor he is if he can pull off all these different roles

i never thought about that, the is no real 'action' in the 1st part of the book, so would be kinda pointless making it into a movie Oh yeah that could work. I guess there isn't any point in making it two parts. They cut out tons of stuff with the shorter movies anyway. I'm just looking forward to the dark and action points of it.

There's a new interview with Columbus on harrypotter.com and in it, he says that he hopes they make GOF into two 90-min. movies. Ehhh....I'm just gonna go back and re-read it and see what I think about that. Donna
