I found this piece of information from www.the-leaky-cauldron.org, who got it off of Counting Down.. Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets is 178 minutes long; 2 hours and 58 minutes. How can you not be excited? I hope Christian's scenes are long.. ;D

I just read it too......it gives me some hope that his "short" scenes will be relatively longer than what I thought....the reviewer on thefacer said Christian's scenes were (I think he used the word "unfortunately") short, but heck, if we're talking a 3-hour movie here, than what defines a "short" scene??? I hope that "178 minutes" is not the pre-edited length!!!! I mean, I can gladly sit for a 3-hour movie if it's interesting and all that, while some movies half that length are way too long. Donna

Sorry, girls.
Thanks as always to BBC Newsround's Lizo Mzimba, for clearing up a little craziness on our side. He confirms that the movie is not 177 minutes as earlier reported, but about 155, the same as last year's. The 177 time is most likely including trailers and other addons specific to movie theaters. Thanks BBC! -TLC.org

Ohh, yes I just read about that on the site. Oh well. I just hope PoA will be longer then. There must be a good amount of Christian in that 155 or else I will scream

well... in the book there's like two specific scenes with Tom Riddle... there's the part when harry get's transported into the diary... and the last part...with the phoenix.... there are also other parts...very minor tho...so, i guess there ISN'T going to be a lot of time for CC...we just have to get the DVD and rewind....and rewind...and rewind... ;D ;D ;D lol

I think Christian said in his 'Romeo' article that his scenes were mainly with Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Harris. I can't quite seem to figure out what-the-heck-scene he'd have with Richard Harris. ? Does anyone have any idea? Or am I simply not remembering the book?

The scene with Richard Harris that Christian referring to is the bit where Tom is lurking about the castle and then crosses pathes with Dumbledore...
Riddle slid off his chair and slouched out of the room. Harry followed him.
Down the moving spiral staircase the went, emerging next to the gargoyle in the darkening corridor. Riddle stopped, and so did Harry, watching him. Harry could tell that Riddle was doing some serious thinking. He was biting his lip, his forehead furrowed.
Then, as though he had finally reached a decision, he hurried off, Harry gliding noiselessly behind him. They didn't see another person until they reached the entrance hall, when a tall wizard with long, sweeping auburn hair and a beard called to Riddle from the marble staircase.
"What are you doing, wandering around this late, Tom?"
Harry gaped at the wizard. He was none other than a fifty-year-younger Dumbledore... [ch 13, p. 245, U.S. version]

Thanks!!!!! Ahem....I see I might be needing to read the book for the 3rd? 4th?---time. What a tribute to the writer that there is sooooo much to these books that I need to read them over and over and over again...something I don't do anymore as I used to when I was a youngster. Donna

I'm looking forward to the scenes.. one, they have Christian in them, and two I always wondered what Dumbledore looked like when he was younger. I could never picture it I guess he would look pretty much the same.. er - kind of. It was 50 years ago soo.. yeah. I should be getting to read Chamber of Secrets soon, just to recap everything and compare the movie to the book. Unfortunately we're reading this book in English Literature, and I highly doubt I could read two books at once. We're supposed to be done with it by the end of next week but I don't think so. I think I understand everything right now, so there's no real need for me to read the books over again. I've read all of them about 6 times, but you know sometimes I can be forgetful ;D

Oh that's right.....it's a scene with the YOUNGER Dumbledore...ok here..., so Christian says he had scenes with Richard Harris, but if it were a YOUNGER Dumbledore....maybe they just put a red wig on Richard Harris and used Vaseline on the camera lens ? lol
