Valentine's Day Idea

Ok...I have this idea.

On the doll forum I joined, they are exchanging dollz with their secret pals. I thought this would be a nice idea for this board---not the doll idea, tho. I mean the idea of us each having a Secret Pal for Valentine's Day. Here's how it'll work:

~~You reply here if you'd like to participate
~~I spend time on the weekend pulling names out of my miscellaneous hats in order to determine whom you will have as a pal (I will be perfectly honest about it...I'm a teacher, and if I weren't honest, I'd be suffering tremendous :-/guilt)
~~Early next week either Lizifer or I will IM you with the name of your pal; shhh---don't tell anyone!
~~A few days before Feb. 13/14, I'll remind everyone
~~On Valentine's, you'll send your pal either an email or an IM. Card, pic, poem, whatever....

How does it sound? I'm setting the Valentine Day *date* as either Feb. 13 or Feb. 14, because for example England is 8 hours away from where I am.
Please reply here by this coming weekend to let me know if you'd like to participate.

Count me in too. Hopefully I should remember because the 13th Feb is my birthday and also Uni enrollment day for postgrads so I've got to go all the way into the city on the train (Melb Uni has no real car parking!) and the 14th Feb is my Mum's birthday, whose name, conveniently, is Val!!

Well, since that this is gonna be another V-day dry spell, what the heck

The truth is, I quite despise Valentine's Day because of the traffic it usually causes... and it's too commercialized! (HAHAHA) The best Valentine's Day I had was in 1998, I went rowing in the morning, had a wonderful lunch with my aunt, I met up with a friend for coffee and another friend invited me to spend V-day dinner with her family, and we went out and saw a band!

The WORST one... I lost a pair of shoes, my favorite black trainers. I took it off during a V-day rock concert and the next thing I knew I was trampling on the grass in my socks.

Since that I am to spend V-Day preparing for my thesis defense among other things, I would love to amuse myself... wait, doesn't this sound like a 'dating service'? Kidding ;D

So... it's pretty up to us what we're going to send, right? Hey, NOBODY sends a virus or a trojan horse or a worm (wait am, I giving ideas?) I'm pretty familiar with that 'lovebug' virus (since that it's made here, heh), and as you know, it's V-Day...

I forgot to ask when I posted...are we supposed to reveal ourselves when we send the card? Or are we just supposed to say, "from your secret admirerer?" If we don't reveal ourselves, can we do it later?
