OOOO! OOOOO!!!! I knew I'd seen him someplace before.....I never watched Big Brother, but I saw that guy on talk shows and stuff....he also has an element of Eric Close (anyone see "Now and Again"[may it RIP ] or the miniseries "Taken"?)

8-)Sampaguita, I definitely did not mean to give you a guilt trip. I didn't mean that at all. In fact it took me a few minutes to write that post above to you because I think that pic reminds me of something.. ..something that means something to me...I'm just not sure what.

I get what you're saying... It reminds me of something too... which is probably why I hate the picture. I'm in one with a similar pose.

As to what it could remind you of... As a intertextual piece, I'd say it's quoting the surrealists of the early 20th century. It's meant to evoke a heightened sense of tragedy... especially since the characters are above the sense of reality. Most of my criticism with the picture centers around the lack of the real... and his expression just seems to heighten the dreamlike feel of the picture... and it's not a good kind of dreamlike. It squeezes at your chest until you feel like you can't breath, but, at the same time, you enjoy the feeling of suspension... of in-between. Smiling and crying at the same time, and you don't know why. The use of the sepia coloring only heightens the fleetingness of the moment... the look of urgency and concentration on his face is captured beautifully. But because it's fleeting, you get the impression that there could be a nightmare around the corner.

And I hate the picture for doing that to me. And I hate the expression on his face... I'm not exactly sure why.

Naaahhh.... they DON'T look alike Well... I don't know, that guy looks TOO suave, and that is Christian is anything but (to me, and thankGod for that). Christian looks like the kind who walks on some cobble-stoned street, scribbling poetry on this little notebook, and then suddenly breaks into a Fred Astaire number

That R&J pic of Christian fits him as Romeo... Romeo isn't exactly a macho guy, in my opinion, unlike the Capulets.

the balcony scene was done really well. she delivered the lines 'angry' rather than 'soppy in love' which worked very well even tho i'd never thought of the lines being delivered that way b4! i think it was her 1st proffessional stage production but u wouldn't have guessed it!

Well....even if they DID flub their lines....(as I did in the last show I did a few weeks ago because there were no freakin' birdsongs as there shoulda been!)....you're not supposed to be able to tell (which btw I 'covered' ok).

I'M VACATIONING HERE IN LONDON AND I SAW R&J!!IT WAS SOOOOOO KEWL......CHRISTITAN MADE A GOOD ROMEO..
after the show my cuzin dared me to try and go backstage and find him.....so i did...and got lost and one security gaurd found me and asked why i was there..i said"uh, i'm Christian Coulson's cousin and i'm looking for him" and he took it!so i'm wandering off looking for him when i literally bumped into him!!he was like"Uh, hi...who are u and what are u doing here?"and i said"I'm soooo sorry but i couldnt help it and i'm a big fan of yours and i just want a hug!"and some of his cast members was hanging around him going"awww thats soo sweet!"and he hugged me!he was like"How did u get past the security?" and i said"uhhh......what ?there was security?didnt see it!" and i got his autograph and i gave him a little kiss on the cheek(still is surprised she did that)and i told him about this site and asked him if he's ever been here, and he said no but thanks to me he'll visit for sure!!I'll post more later!bye!
