Okay, this is really frustrating me... and it's getting downright irritating.
Is Blaise Zabini a girl or a boy?
I'm too d**n lazy to go over GoF again, and it's really irritating that in all the fanfic I read sometimes Blaise is a boy and other times Blaise is a girl.
Good GRACIOUS! It's like this Blaise character has a starring role in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch."
Can you imagine-- "Blaise Zabini and the Angry Inch"? ::shudders::

Blaise is a boy's name....French, as in Blaise Pascal, the French mathematician/philosopher/inventor of the 17th century.

I always thought Blaise was a boy's name (I liked reading "Less Than Zero" by Bret Easton Ellis and he named one of his male characters Blaise). But someone told me that the name could function as both a boys name or a girls name like "Morgan" or "Leslie" or "Alexis."
It just irritated me because I hated seeing the character appear as both male and female in the fandoms.
I will forthwith hold to the opinion (and call it a fact in my mind) that Blaise is a boy.
I imagine him to be really hot, too. Looking like the younger version of the professor that Joey kissed on "Dawson's Creek." OH! Or like Wil Calhoun from "Young Americans."

Just WHO is... you-know-who? I mean, Blaise Zabini. I don't remember any Blaise Zabini... is that a character in GoF that I missed BIG TIME or is it just a fanfic?

Boy or girl Blaise is a pretty cool name. I think that's one of the things I love most about the HP books- the names she comes up with for her characters.
