I saw a topic with a photo of Lupin, so here are two photo's of Black and Pettigrew: This guy, Timothy Spal, will play Peter Pettigrew: And Gary Oldman is casted as Sirius Black. And here's another david Thewlis photo (casted as Lupin), as you might know him from dinotopia: ------------------------ Okay, here are three other photo's from Gary Oldman. Lizifer, you wanted him hunky? Ehm... let's see if those pics can change your mind (especially the red one.... yugh... but on the last one I see a little Sirius in him...)

For an old guy, gary Oldman doesn't look that bad. The guy for Peter Pettigrew looks just like Mr. Weasley!

Well, I saw Spall acting in 'All or nothing', and his hair was a little but more longer, but I think he'll do a great Pettigrew. I read he acts all kind of rolls.... if they do something at his hair and his clothes, I think he'll be a very nice Pettigrew...
As fot Black, on this foto he looks like Johnny de Mol (anyway knows him?). But, this is only on epicture of course, I think there might be tons of totally different photo's... I also saw one from him with long black hair (but, unfortunately, it wasn't a sharp photo) and I'm also sure he'll do a great job as Black.
And Lupin... I din't know what to think about him. But, as they make him over like they did all the other characters, he'll be fine too...

i always thought of pettigrew as thinner than that, plus that man looks as tho hes tall and 'my' pettigrew was short! and yeah donna i pictured sirius as hunkier and lupin as younger looking but i guess if they can act the character well their looks dont matter as much!

scroll up to see some new oldman-photo's, or stay here and see a photo of the man who's casted for Tom, the man from The Leaky Cauldron. (Yep, that's another Tom... ask for me, I want Tom Riddel!). His name is Jim Tavare.

Fyi---over at www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/ today there's a link to a site that discusses the strategy of the casting announcements. For example apparently it's completely known that Gary Oldman's going to play Sirius, and he's been signed for about 2 wks, but there's no official announcements yet because WB is trying to 1) skit around the hoopla of the OOTP announcement from the other day and 2)build momentum to when POA goes into actual production. Personally, I think it's kind of silly because those of us who are big HP fans pay close attention and are not going to be surprised anyway. If someone's signed, just say it! I'm still concerned about not hearing about Sean Biggerstaff.....no Quidditch Donna

Surely they're not going to take such an important part out?

Apparently, Sean B. has NOT been signed for POA as of yet---in the most recent interview he gave (a few months ago, I *think*), he said so himself.
Does anyone else know of Rufus Sewell? I was catching "A Knight's Tale" in the middle of the movie (super movie to do that) the other day and saw him, and I was 'Wow, he could play Sirius!'....but, again....I think he's far too young if you compare him to the others who've been (apparently) cast. He would've been fine if they'd originally cast Snape as around 40.
C'est la vie.......

OOOOOOOH!!!!! I LOVE "A Knight's Tale." (And I love Paul Bettany!)
You're right. Rufus Sewell would have made a bang-up Sirius... And I would have loved to see Paul Bettany (aka my husband-- even if he doesn't know it yet... jk) as Lupin. Alas! Such is not to be... but I can still fantasize. If only Alan Rickman was 10-15 years younger...
