Actually, before you bombared my wonderful mentor with all your requests, I just thought of something. You can actually contact either of the Drs. (Marie or Richard) Axton to request copies of past productions... I don't think that they would turn you down if you were using them for "research" or "pedagogical" purposes. Dr. M. Axton is, I believe, the current advisor of the ADC, though.
I'll go ahead and post her official e-mail info, but I'm not sure that it's quite kosher for me to do so. (Moderators, will I be able to completely delete this thread if I get the complaint from Dr. Axton, or do I have to ask you first?) Well, here [for now] it is:

That's fine actually, so long as you didn't mention my name... j/k. I really don't think he'll mind, especially if you sent it to the UCR address. He's been bombarded with requests to meet a few of his relatively famous now-ex-girlfriends. Like I said, at worst he'll either not answer, or turn you down. Try Dr. Axton... it is, afterall, her job to deal with this sort of thing.

Josh'Cassanova Kun'? I've heard of him. Is he that dj that tours with that British dj International Playboy Zen? I heard that he or Zen was dating Britney Murphey for a while. Do you know if this is true? I know he was dating that lead singer of a punk band. Can you tell me what the name of the band is? I saw him on TV last night. Can you get me his autograph? I can't believe that he knows Christian Coulson too. Cassanova Kun is your teacher? I'm jealous.

I don't want to be rude, but Josh's lovelife hardly pertains to Mr. Coulson... or EVEN his performance as an educator. Again, sorry to be rude, but Josh's lovelife really is neither here nor there in terms of Mr. Coulson OR his status as a scholar. |

Jen, you have no need to apologize. I'm the one who posted his e-mail on the board... which reminds me, I'm off to go delete it from the messages it's contained in. Besides, you weren't the one prying into his private life. I really should have known better than to put his info up in the first place. He's usually very cool about it, but he draws a hard and fast line between his three lives: personal, professional, and academic... but often the three overlap and it's hard to distinguish where he'll get upset. I do know that he guards his personal pictures (the non-professional ones) very well-- as if they were his own children... I think it's more for the sake of his friends than for his own sake. I think his attitude is the same towards his lovelife, which is why I spoke a bit harshly to the other poster.

Hmmm... maybe Dr Axton will all of a sudden receive quite a number of email requesting for the Amadeus. I saw a review of that particular production (1996, Westminster) along with another review where Christian was in Hamlet. Christian seemed to be an acclaimed stage actor then (I believe he still is now), just where are those DANG casting directors Oh well, I just burst a vein up there, but now back to normal  And by the way, that famous people thing is somehow expected of them, that is their price. They get their loads of money from the public anyway, so that makes them, in a way, 'public property'. But then of course there are the likes of Jodie Foster, so it is possible to be still finicky about one's privacy. Look at JD Salinger, he refuses to be proded at and have 'Catcher' turned into a movie. Hmmm... Christian as Holden? Well, maybe Christian can outstandingly pull it off, but I respect Salinger's wishes... If I were to be a famous author someday, I'd use a pen name, have a picture of my elbow on the 'about the author' section, and simply say something like, "This novel is *Mandragora's* second novel, following yadayada, that is shortlisted at the Booker Prize"  So if you saw a representative-photo of the author's elbow, that COULD be me. But then maybe I'd have my toe taken instead as to not giving too much away... ;D |

I feel bad for famous people. It seemed like Sampaguita's outburst had more to do with the fact that Rockera was pumping her for really personal details about this Kun character. If you ask me, she was really nice about it. Do you guys go spreading out all the personal details about your friends' lovelives to perfect strangers? I don't. P.S. Will you guys who asked Dr. Axton for copies of Christian's stage performances tell me how it goes? I'm a little shy and don't want to ask unless I know she's cool about it. |
