it's that dumb time of year again and no it's not the holidays! it's get ratings time for the networks, and guess wat? our TV timeslots are now filled with oh-so-many stupid RT shows. Example, Joe Millionaire...it's The Bachleor with a FOX spin, the guy's NOT rich, but the girls who want him think he is...In other words, the gold digger Bachleor rejects use their "womanly wiles" to grab a construction worker worth 19 thousand dollars per annum... Another one is High School Reunion on the WB and let's just say, it's a bunch of 28 yearolds reminicing about their highschool days and kicking eachother's butts while at it... now, i know, that we all are from different parts of the world...i wanna know, wat OUTRAGEOUS RT shows are in your part of the world, cause i know in Can/US there is an unfortunate slew of crap ranging from Fear Factor to Dog eats Dog.... and another question...wat show would CC, if ever, go on?? ;D

Yeah, I saw the promo for "High School Reunion" and was kinda sickened by it... especially the way the announcer described some of the participants. I wouldn't put myself through that.
But then, if people put cameras up in dorms, I'd probably watch the show...
A bit hypocritical, isn't it? Oh well.

i just noticed how RT is just getting worse and worse every season, mid-season blah blah blah... i mean, survivor when it first came out, i used to watch it...but now in season 6 or watever, i didn't watch an episode becuz all i could think of was the fact that u can NEVER replicate the success of the first season even if u put the 12 "contestants" in the north pole...there will always be stereotypes ie. the gay one(rich) or the manly woman a la sue...
however, it would be interesting if the show was about ppl u knew...i would watch that any day... ;D

I don't think RT is CC's thing. He's much more into the theatrical British drama thing. ;

I thought of that....you know, actors doing little scenes...but they did that on "Star Search" when it was first on....and that was the one thing that didn't really "fly" on the show. It was just awkward.

Is Pop Idol like the British version of American Idol?

I love The Amazing Race. It's the travelling and the time pressure and the different cultures and variations of temper ... I am not such a fan of talent shows And please, Christian in Star Search... what would he do, tap dance?

The "American Idol" show is totally based on "Pop Idol"---same producer and everything.

Oh, okay. Coul! I heard he played the clarinet. Then again, I think it was a one-post-wonder who said that... *screws up face, trying to remember*
