it's probably because of his character..
i think he smiles in real life..look at that coffee pic...he was smiling...sort of...
or was the coffee too hot and he was just blowing it to make it colder??? *ponders that question*

On the subject of his smile, I have never smiled that well if I am posing in a studio. I think a lot of professional photographers just take too much time....I've photographed my students many times and 90% of the time the best pics are when they're unprepared; you say "Quick! Turn and smile!".....it's the same way for me. Maybe "posing" is difficult for Christian too.
