u'd think that having a deadly 12 inch venomus (sp?) tooth stuck in u'r arm would have produced more than a little scratch..lol i agree with u guys..his almost death was just a couple of grunts ... all in all my fav part in the chamber was CC..."and look what dumbledore brings his great defender, and old hat and a song bird" BRILLIANT! ;D

and he could've acted a bit more in pain when he fell off the broom and broke his arm

Well. I can't say I would've done the role any differently. I think especially after seeing COS---that Columbus focuses in on certain aspects of a scene and lets the other aspects go. Donna

he should have been screaming in pain! lol nah i would have put a bit more emphasis into it tho, rather than just "oh i think its broken!", then again i have a very low pain thresh-hold!

Ok, so i'm critizing CoS for being totally unrealistic, but hey, what can i do? i'm bored and extremely observant today! lol ;D ;D

Maybe Harry was "in shock" after his arm was broken. That's how people often react after something physically or emotionally traumatic has happened---they hardly react at all. Still, I think Columbus should've directed the scene better.

i cried my eyes out when i broke my arm! lol yeah i think the scene could have been directed a bit better. lol @ angela, yeah they could have at least pretended the trunks were heavy! lol
i don't think i've mentioned this on here b4 but last february when i was in london i went to kings cross station and they were filming for cos which was pretty cool! actually they'd just finished filming when i got there (i did see rupert grint tho!) but i saw the train and platform 9 and 3/4 and some props and stuff! then on sunday when i went to kings cross again me and my friend took pics of us near the barrier into platform 9 and 3/4! lol just a little pointless story for u all! oh and i saw the harry potter cow in leicester square!
ok enough of me rambling!

Now this is just me, but instead of chasing the car all the way to the Forbidden Forest (after being almost killed by a TREE), I'd just say, "Screw the car." I thought the Chamber scene was mostly good, though, except I wanted more Christian gab. ;D

You know...I wondered the same thing about the car! lol And also...about the boys "not seeming" to have very heavy baggage as they went up the stairs...<g>....the director should've noticed that. Donna

I've seen Y Tu Mama Tambien and The Little Princess and I like both. Regarding the technical aspects, what I like about TLP is that it has this enchanting feel to it, thanks to the cinematography and the shots it has... and TLP doesn't look too 'commercialized' or 'disneyfied'. Y Tu Mama is VERY different since that it is a racy, coming of age film. Again, what is successful in this film is that it somehow transports the viewers where the film is based (in this case, Mexico). There are sexy scenes, but it looks more integral to the plot than just simply erotic, if you know what I mean. I hope he makes the third HP more of like TLP because TLP is so magical, yet intimate. I don't mind an obviously packaged HP, like it's wrapped in shiny tin foil and you know what is inside, but I kinda like surprises, and well, I have to admit, I hope he directs the cast better. Some of the students (fine, Emma, Tom Felton, more improvement for Daniel, and the other kids) need more training. It's not enough they look thepart, they have to become, if not act very well, the part.

Cuaron can only be better than Columbus cause you can`t get worse than that. Columbus is bad. What saved Potter movies form his turning them into complete sh*t is great source material. I`m so looking forward to Cuaron`s vision. But Kloves the crappy scribe who cut out Riddle`s lines and buff up Lucius malfoy instead is staying and that my dears is BIG PROBLEM. Cuaron can`t do much if Kloves sh*tter cuts out the best parts and leaves things that aren`t too important. I mean, that idiot made spider scene 15 minutes long and cut out Tom Riddle`s past and other lines!!!!He should`ve left EVERYTHING Riddle intact, he`s f*cking Lord Voldemort! But no, Kloves fell in love with Lucius malfoy and decided that he should be No.1 villain and get screen time at Riddle/Voldy expense. Creative liberty, my a**! File under 100% idiotic!

hey i agree with u, but since HP is an obvious "children's movie " they can't make it too dark and evil....which TR is both, and that's wat i'm afraid Cuaron is gonna do, make it all light and fluffy, and POA is almost the darkest book in the series.... with all the killing, and deatheaters ....
