Lydia I think you're right about the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff colors <g> Does anyone remember...in one of the books doesn't Malfoy mention something about how no one in his right mind would want to be in Hufflepuff...and seriously, who WOULD want to be in Hufflepuff...<g>..maybe I'm being prejudicial ....or maybe I just can't relate to Hufflepuff. Or maybe it's the "soft" sounding name: HUFFLEPUFF. 'Sounds like a brand name of cotton ball. I was at the snitchseeker.com and in the side, someone had posted something about Tom Riddle so I clicked on it. Sooo...I read a one page thing of posts about people (other than us) talking about how hot he is!!! Altho it WAS funny to read their preferences. I mean, one girl said she still preferred Sean B. over him; another said she "still" thought Tom (Felton) was better, and another considered Christian hotter only over Rupert Grint. lol Donna

the ones where all he does is scrunch if his face like smelt something bad? lol, i gotta see that...!! and once again...sean b is HIDEOUS! well, he had like 4 lines in CoS and 5 lines in SS/PS...so i mean, this gurls don't like him based on artistical merit, rather his looks *vomit* while we atleast saw CC in the forsyte saga...and love in a cold climate and lizifer in romeo and juliet...so i mean we have more reason to like him then they do...and who noticed how SB walked? its like he's a chicken pecking for grains but not on the ground, but in front of his face... ok, did anyone understand that? if not read it SLOWLY!!! ;D

I wouldn't say SeanB is hideous, he's just not.... I don't know, the Oliver I know? Maybe it's because his parts are just too short (like Tom), I just can't wait for POA to really show that Oliver is Quidditch-obssessed, and there was this part when Hufflepuff beat Gryffindor (harry fell off), Harry was in the hospital and when they were looking for Oliver, one of the Weasley twins says: "I think he's drowning himself in the showers"!
*whew*
I guess that's the thing with the movies, they only choose what they think is integral to the main plot. Oh well, to those who complain that the whole Harry Potter thing is pointless based on what they saw in the two movies, READ IT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! It really irks me that some people go around that the whole HP hoopla is basically no big deal. Hmp!

....oh if someone isn't here for a while..... I have really much to read I told my friend about Tom before we saw the film and when she asked me (when he was on screen) if that was the person I was talking about ...I could just no....hehe... by the way, we were the last people that leaved the cinema, because of the 10 seconds-what-happend-to-Lockhart-bit....ist was not comforting to sit there while the people from the cinema were already cleaning the room

[quote author=lizifer angela, i'd love to see ur brothers ron/rupert impression![/quote] Ahem, Lizifer, it's MY brother. Now get the siblings straight!!! LOL Mandragora I agree with you---I thought/was hoping for Oliver Wood's Quidditch mania to be conveyed. I mean, frankly, if you think of it, Oliver in the books when he is manic, he is basically a very selfish and mean person---and it would be fun to see that. <g> But then, we can't see EVERYTHING in the books put up on the screen---I mean, otherwise, I'd still be sitting in the theatre, and I went on Opening Night. lol @ MsPoet ;D
But then there are still stuff that the movie has to leave off, of course. Chris Columbus admits he felt bad for leaving of the Deathday Party of Sir Nick. No wonder the movie does feel choppy. PoA is going to be a big challenge--- the movie has to explain WELL about Sirius Black! And they should have a proper intorduction for Cedric. And the Astronomy class! I can't remember which thread, but it mentioned that the astronomy classes shouldn't be taken lightly. I agree.
i wonder who's going to play Trelawney... and Cedric... and Sirius... and Lupin! I imagine Lupin to be REALLY handsome, and Sirius too! ;D
Maybe if CC were older, he would be a PERFECT Sirius, really...

u know....i think the ending of CoS really sucked...here's what i wanted to happen so that ppl would want to watch POA...
Okay...so the whole Hagrid is a hero crap happens... we cut to the Dursley house and they're all in the living room watching the news including Harry, he's wearing sumthing hedious as usual... u hear the whole sirius thing about how he killed 13 muggles...blah blah blah....then an extreme close up to harry's scar and u see it glow... black out... this way, u have the gist of POA...but it's not really giving anything away... ;D

Angela, that *would* be an interesting ending. Mandragora....I think you're right about the astronomy classes. In fact they will probably turn out to be, in the future books, much more important than even what we think now based on having read books 1-4. I'm not so sure about Lupin being really good-looking...well...maybe ;D .....a lot of sites are talking Ewan McGregor but ahem, hello, Sirius is supposed to be late 30's-early 40's like Harry's dad...altho Snape is ahem 50's in real life and he's supposed to have been the same age....well...maybe he's just aged poorly...my mom showed me a b&w pic today of someone and she asked me how old I thought the woman was. After much consideration I said "55" but then my mom said, "She's a year older than you are." Sooo...like I said, maybe Snape's aged poorly. Donna

A glowing scar heehee ;D
I think the problem with the HP movies is that they try to start it on a lighter mood, like 'Oh hello, this is a kiddie movie, let's inject some "Home Improvement" mood to it!" ;D
Hmm, I hope Cuaron will make HP as dramatic (atmosphere-wise) like the Secret Garden. I loved watching that movie then, it tells about the adventures of these three kids (two guys and a girl too!), but there is this certain aura to it... I just hope the forthcoming HP movies will not be Disneyfied!
If you guys have seen Cuaron's Y Tu Mama Tambien, you're gonna be shocked he's gonna do HP, hahaha. When I found that out I was shocked--- as shocked upon seeing the opening scene of Y Tu Mama where a young teeny-couple were humping!

than they should sacrifice Snape actor in order to get younger Sirius and Lupin. If Ewan Mcgregor is to play Lupin than recast Snape with someone that age. I`m sorry but I don`t want another bunch of old people to be cast for Sirius and Lupin who are not old in books just because Alan Rickman is pushing 60. And all the threats from fans that they`d stop watching the movies if Rickman was out - b*llsh*t! Richard harris died and Dumbledore will be recast and no one says they won`t watch PoA. Supporting actors don`t matter. few fans would go loud and make threats and it would look like everyone shared their opinion but that`s not what majorty thinks espcially casual fandom which is bigger than die-hard one. And ewan McGregor is bigger box office draw than alan Rickman let alone that CoS campaign focused on Branagh and Isaacs and Dobby instead of fresh-faced you-know-who backfires badly in the wake of bikini-clad halle Berry. cast Rickman-aged Lupin and Black and PoA won`t crack $100 million trust me, especially in summer 2004 when pit against Spiderman 2.
