I first saw CC in aplay when he was 13. He was a great actor even then. When did you first see him and when did you become a fan? How famous is he outside the UK? PM

Hey, Mortensen are you related to Viggo?
Back to the topic. I`ve heard about Christian Coulson when he was cast as Tom Riddle. Never seen him in anything. Right now I`m suffering through Forsythe Saga because Chrsitian will appear in episodes 5-7. Dull show, awful stiff acting that gives British costume dramas a bad name. I hope Chrsitian isn`t as wooden as the leading redhead dude and his wifey. Anyway, as long as he hits the right notes with Riddle I`m happy cause Harry Potter is the only thing I care for.
Can you give us some insight on his acting and personality? I wonder if he`s regular guy or stuck-up like every actor who gets 15 minutes of fame.

hey mortensen... the first time i saw CC was when one of my HP buds emailed me a pic of TR, and it was that great one with the book...and well...it's history from there...the board seems more dead than all the other fan boards of various HP characters tho... weird... ;D ;D

I think this board is "more dead" because most people don't even know his name....only one of my friends told me that *she* had a friend who said he was "hot"....it seems to me, as I've said before, that Warner Bros. is really keeping him under wraps; personally, I thought as such an "outstanding" ie important character in COS, he should've been included in the Vanity Fair spread.
I first saw him in that "Rex picture" of him walking on the COS set, holding the tea/coffee/hot choc.

Angela`s right. For example, I`ve never seen a Tom Riddle or CC thread last more than 18 messages on any board and I don`t think it has everything to do with WB keeping him under wraps. I think it`s that COS is the least favorite book and audience is just drawn to other characters. Pre-teens are all gushy about Harry, Ron, Draco while older fans are all Snape-Lupin-Black. So Riddle (and actor who plays him) "suffer" from middle child syndrom, lack of attention. Also, to be honest, CC isn`t quite typical teen hearthrob, I can`t explain it, but he seems so non-smiling and beyond-his-years. Most people go for these boyish happy-go-lucky Tom cruise wannabe types who look 100% carefree and fun. CC doesn`t strike me to be anything like it and I guess others feel the same and back off.

That`s supposed to be a smile? I wonder if his lips would go in "smile" direction if they weren`t helped by his hand. But that just adds to mystery and mystery`s sexy.
BTW, I`ve noticed on certain Cabaret pix that Chrsitian has really big thingy. WOW!

I first saw him with the picture everyone saw, with him walking with the coffee. Since his face looked distorted, i thought he was unattractive, until I though what the hell, and put his name onto google image search, where I found that picture of him looking quite sexy in the tux. My lust grew from there.

Well.. I first saw him in that set picture also with him holding the beverage.. I laughed when I saw his face, but then after I saw that Love in a Cold Climate picture I just fell for him. *grin* I really loved the Tom Riddle pictures though.. I think they show him the best ;D

Actually, in the picture of him as Tom Riddle with the coffee/tea, he looks like he's sort of smirking because out of the corner of his eye he knew someone was taking his picture. That's what it looks like to me.

And where`s lovely Peter Mortensen? Just as I hoped he`d give us more info on CC , at least what he was like at 13, aside acting talent, Mr Mortensen disappeared. Sign.

mr Mortensen where are you? Oh, how typical! Of course, he knows nothing. And "he" is probably one of regular posters (if there`s something like "regular poster" on this flatliner board) trying to spark life in the debate. Just wanted to let you know that these days everyone but Chrsitian get a spotlight. Bonnie Wright ((Ginny) even the Phelps twins (Fred&George) and Harry Melling (Dudley) feature in the press, they`ve just got interviewed but Chsitian? Zip. Oh, how could I forget, his character has this secret that Warner Bross has been defending with their lives. As if nobody can interview the guy and ask him 100+ Potter-unrelated questions. Something`s fishy, very very fishy.

considering that most of the members are from north america and have never seen the man MOVE, i'd say that there's not much to discuss. who has seen the entire forsyte saga, love in a cold climate, the four feathers, weirdsister college? on top of that, christian has played supporting roles in the afore mini-series and movies. the HPCOS premiere and press junkets should allow the forums to be more lively and will, hopefully, direct us away from random rumors of christian's sexual orientation.
as far as keeping tom riddle under wraps, i think that warner bros. is right in doing so. imagine what it would do to the whole fluidity of the series and movie, if they straight out said that peter pettigrew was scabbers in a PoA trailer - heck, why not the first movie?

If they did something like that, giving away the whole Peter Pettigrew thing, I think I would scream. I hate it SO bad when people give away the whole movie. There might be interviews with Christian soon after CoS is out.. I dunno, just a thought. I'm sure everyone will be curious about him. Right now I don't think it's a good time to be giving away things about Riddle.
