*makes mental note* The 10th. Hopefully that's right? I'm not going to go travel down to Manhatten for nothing and that's just BRILLIANT if Christian is there. It would make me oh so happy ;D *prays she can go check out the celebs and stuff* XD

Wow....interviewing the stars!! The Leaky Cauldron website was invited to the COS press thing yesterday (apparently in NYC), and they commented how "wonderful" the kids were. They got new pictures in the press kit and posted some brand new, high-res pics (they're so high-res, they're artwork )---over 20 of them, and you know the first thing I looked for was a Tom Riddle pic, but there was not one. NOT ONE. Donna

Angela, no---I think you're thinking that the Leaky Cauldron posted photos of the press conference---but actually what was included in the press kit were more pics from the movie. Either Warner Bros. doesn't consider the role of Tom Riddle important ( ), or they are continuing to PURPOSELY keep him under wraps. Donna

I vote they're attempting to keep him under wraps. I've been thinking that for a long time. It's too bad though I want them to interview CC about the movie so much.. gr

isn't moaning myrtle like an important character also? soooo....why isn't she in the press either?
i dunno...i think WB just thinks that CC isn't as important as Lockhart or something...but i mean, the whole movie is about CC/TR right?

Well not the whole movie, but you know. Tom Riddle is just as important but I love mysteries, and I guess they want you to be surprised. I was surprised when I first read the book, so whoever hasn't and goes to see the movie would probably be. I think WB is trying to make that happen.
As for Moaning Myrtle being important, sure. There's this one piece of information that Myrtle gives and it helps Harry figure things out. I just guess since they put her in the trailer and all, she isn't as mysterious. Of course, Tom has a bigger part unlike her.

I think a big basis for the importance of a character in a book is how much they stand out in a person's mind. Even after the first time (out of 3) times I read COS, Tom Riddle stood out in my mind. Particularly...ahem...I think that TR has a point when he mentions that he and HP are alike in some ways. And the very consideration that he passed, at the very least, a TALENT of his (parselmouth) into baby Harry demonstrates, I think, that each person with whom we interact (for good or bad) causes an 'essence' to travel.....we are all reflections of everyone with whom we have ever come into contact. An allegory for humanity! lol So...ahem....Tom Riddle stands out for me. Donna
