well i pre-ordered the hard-back version from amazon and i'll buy the paper-back on the day of release! i don't think any bookstores near here will be opening at midnight for its release but if they are i may go and get it then! ! Lizifer, The paperback won't be out till late 2004 or so.....the hardback always comes out first. But, you can always go to a midnight funfest anyway...dress up in your jammies, put on your scarf, and GO!!!! ;D There was some article in the paper today about how there's some concern over if JKR has lost her audience because it's grown older...geez.... I read in the papers today that we get it at 9:01 for sure, so that saves me wishing I could have it all night if it came out in the nightime here.

00:01 UK time? That would be 8:01 in the morning here, and malls open at ten am... that is, if we get the book at the same time as everybody And I don't think HP is even banned anywhere here and everyone I know (in college) has a copy, so Asia is pretty much a very big market! *imagines a virgil in-front of mall to acquire first OOTP copy* Speaking of malls, I am starting to get sick and tired of them

I literally can't wait!!! I was so excited when I heard and when I read the extract in the paper I actually got goose bumps and felt really emotional!! That may sound sad but I can't believe it's been 3 years since GOF, I'm not gonna put the book down once I've got it! We have to buy 2 copies cos my Mum loves HP too so we both want to read it as soon as it comes out! We're ordering it on Amazon later today! ;D

I think that's one of the reasons HP books have sold so well....I read somewhere that some parents buy a book for *each* of their kids because they want to read it at the same time. I got my email newsletter from Borders saying they're going to have activities on June 20 leading up to the midnight sale. But I want to go to Barnes&Noble--it's right down the street and hopefully some of my students will be there. Maybe I'll buy a bullhorn and take my whistle and help control the madness. <g> Donna

I'm so terribly jealous at all you English-speaking folks! Why me? Why should I live in the Netherlands? Though I've pre-ordered it too ;D I'm so terribly excited... But I think I won't have it before August... God I can't wait! Do you think there might be some magical possebility to travel in time? I want it!

I think The Netherlands is a very beautiful place... it's interesting too, engineering-wise--- a huge part of your land is reclaimed! I haven't been there (though hopefully I'll get to travel there this year), and I have this plan to live there probably near The Hague or Delft, and then run naked through this field of tulips with the windmills running in the background Pardon me, I am lacking sugar. But honestly, I want to live there someday, maybe for a short while... I am in-love with Dutch art! Van Gogh! Mondriaan! Rem Koolhaas (though he's an architect)! And London is only a few hours by plane (or maybe an hour)... very accessible.

Hey Madragora! Seems like you have pretty wild plans Running naked through the tulip-fields... hehe... gotta see that ok, I might have it around August, but then I'll have spent like 20 pounds I think (€28,50... Have no idea what it is in pounds or dollars). And if I take the plain to London... ok, I'd love to do it, but... pretty expensive for me! I'm not that rich!

How come people are not allowed their own broomsticks? Why can't we fly? Why do we have to be stuck where we are? How come we are built like, er, people? How come only the UK, US, Australia and Canada are to have the OOTP release on June 21? Whatever happened to the BIGGEST market of the Harry Potter books, which, I think... oh! THE REST OF THE WORLD?!!! Ach, am getting philosophical, where on earth is that Toblerone bar? Though I wish I have some chocolate with almonds in it.... oohh, Mars Bar, Hershey's with Almonds, Cadburry bar with Roasted Almonds, Kisses Almonds. Think I'll make some hot chocolate before going to bed. If I were to have some superpowers, I would choose a Rogue's of X-men. She can fly and she's incerdibly strong. Though I hate the part she cannot be touched... it's quite symbolic Oh, today's about to be over, though still feeling lousy. I cannot seem to make sense of ll the things that are happening in my life right now. Thank God for a website like this as a diversion! Though I might say, I am spending waaayy to much time around here. Aw, heck we all deserve a bit of fun, right?
