I don't know if anyone remembers the TV show "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood," but I used to love it when I was little.
Fred Rogers died this morning of stomach cancer!! That is so sad!

Oh, poor Mr. Rogers! Of course I used to watch and love that show. Especially the train. When I was little I used to have a purple track suit that looked just like Mr. Roger's and I refused to take it off. I loved it very much.
First Mr. Dressup and then Mr. Rogers. What is this world coming to?

When I was very young, the only channel to watch in the morning was PBS. Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers. Unfortunately, I never hear of my students mentioning those shows anymore (even tho they're still on ) Funny, I was flipping thru the channels the other day when I saw Mr. Rogers was on. I paused momentarily because I was thinking, "Omg, he looks sooo old!!!" Who's Mr. Dressup? Donna

Mr. Dressup was great!! I cried when he died (and when his wife died by being hit by a car at a Loblaws in Toronto, I was scared to go downtown for a year after that) His show was kinda like Mr. Rogers only more "Canadian" and it was filmed in better colour. Here's a link www.jumptheshark.com/m/mrdressup.htmI never really watched Mr. Rogers, he was a bit scary, but it is very sad that he died, esp. b/c of cancer

He didn't just "change his clothes"---lol---giggles---he walked in the house, automatically changed his suitcoat to a comfy sweater, changed his fancy dress shoes to slippers...that's it. <g>......and he talked to the puppets...there was a train that came into his living room, and when the train went out again, it "took us" to a place with puppets...lol....and he'd also have guests on to share about stuff...... Angela u r sooo funneeeee.. ;D Anyone else watch Sesame Street? Omg, my brother and I used to watch it every freakin' morning except Sunday (it wasn't on then). They'd have everything; skits and all...oh, that's the show, btw, that Kermit the Frog began on........my favorite Muppet on SS was Grover....what a ditzy monster!!! lol Donna
