According to the Leaky Cauldron, Entertainment Weekly (that's my weekly 'Bible' in the USA ) named HPSS/PS "The Worst" DVD of 2002. AGAIN, I have to say that I can only assume Warner Bros. threw the thing together haphazardly because they knew we'd buy it. Um...let's HOPE it wasn't their best effort...lol..... Donna

Hmm, yeah, that doesn't surprise me! The DVD was disappointing, all that effort to get to the extra deleted scenes and the scenes were so short, it was hardly worth it! And they should have had interviews with the cast members, NOT just the production team and some out-takes would have been funny too! Let's hope the CoS DVD will be better!

oh Iremeber what an odysee it was to get to these extra scenes. Iwas compeltely confuesed and only with the help of others Ifound it. Some told me, they weren't able to play the second DVD,. This says, that therer were a lot of damaged DVDs.

The DVD was terrible. I was getting so frustrated. First it takes me forever to GET INTO Diagon Alley, then I go to get a wand, then it says "you can't buy a wand without money" (or something like that) then i go to Gringots to get money but it says "you cant go there without they key". So I had to find the key, then go back to Gringots, then go back to get a wand. It was quite irritating. Also, after I finally get into Hogwarts, it took so much effort to finally view the deleted scenes, with all those pointless games

maybe the WB bigshots will finally get a clue after reading the article... the dvd sucked, we can all contest to that... but i really hope they'll add some really good things for CoS becuz it was byfar a better movie than PS/SS and therefore, deserves a better dvd...and we all know wat we want on it re: another thread on the boards... and i was actually happy that the article was published becuz it gives the fans a voice that we didn't have before... ;D ;D btw, there is a site sumwhere where u can sign a petition for a directer's cut of CoS i for get the URL but if u search google for HP petitions or sumthing, u might find it ;D

That's what I did for FOTR.....I signed a petition for having the deleted scenes placed *within* the movie, as opposed to being "extras" on the Extended Version....I guess PJ et. al listened. Donna

Well it really wasn't a "Director's Cut"--even PJ said it wasn't----that term wasn't accurate. What it really was, were scenes that couldn't be included due to length of movie....however I definitely think the elven gift-giving at Lothlorien should've been included (would've made Galadriel seem less scary), and the Fellowship *just* before they left Rivendell (remember the cinematic one didn't show them walking out; it showed them AFTER they'd walked out).

ok..the petition i signed for, now i guess has to be for PP/SS becuz Chris Columbus the director said that every scene from the book was translated into the movie....but WHY were they NOT shown in the DVD??
As for CoS, i'm still wondering why they spent 15 mins on the spider's scene and 10 for the IMPORTANT chamber scene...lol... ;D ;D ;D

Donna the gift giving scene should deffinately have made it into the theatrical version as it's such an important part in the book. and angela, i know what u mean, if every scene was translated they should have included them on the dvd. and its a joke how they spent more time on the spiders than the chamber, so i'm hoping for an extended chamber scene on the dvd.
