From: www.mykindaplace.com/film/interviews_hogwartsall.aspInterview w/ Christian in London's Dorchester Hotel. When did you read the Harry Potter books for the first time and what did you think of them? Christian: I hadn't read them until I had the audition. I read quite fast. Afterwards I read the next two and enjoyed the whole series immensely. What do your friends and family think of you getting the part?Christian: Relief mainly. They had been watching me slowly go mad during the auditions and they were terribly supportive. What was it like working with Kenneth Branagh?Christian: I only met him at the premiere. My character was always based fifty years in the past or in spaces where other people don't go so I didn't have any scenes with him. When I was doing most of my stuff he was playing Richard III. What is it like watching yourself on the big screen?Christian: You know when you hear yourself on a tape recorder and you hate the sound of your voice? Well, it's like that except you can see yourself and you hate everything you do, not just your voice! Who would you like to cast a spell over?Christian: I would like to be able to fly. I often have dreams about flying so that would be a good spell. Quite a selfish spell. What's on your Xmas list?Christian: My mum has been on at me for the last few weeks about this. I was thinking about asking for some headphones. Very technologically advanced ones. They're a good thing to ask for as I'd never buy them for myself. What bands do you listen to?Christian: Coldplay, David Gray, and Ms Dynamite is one of my favorites. Have you ever read anyone's diary before?Christian: I don't keep a diary. I'm really rubbish at it. I try and I give up after about two days. What was the last film you saw?Christian: I saw Die Another Day. I know Ros Pike - we used to work together - and she and Halle Berry are great. *bringmeyourlight*

Ooh, thank you bringmeyourlight! Yay, he likes Coldplay & David Gray, so do I! I'm a huge Coldplay fan! And I so know what he means about cringing when you hear your own voice, bless him, he's so modest! ;D

it was this big concert with a few other bands there too, it was cool, people seemed bored during david gray tho, including me, his set was a bit boring! ms dynamite was cool tho, i liked the songs she did, but her 1st single is still kinda annoying, but it's a lot better live! the best act was darren hayes (the only reason i went to the concert!) ;D

David Gray sounds like the contemporray Elton John. And a wee-bit like Tom Petty. So Brit-pop, sort-of contemporary adult and hip-hop. We all sound the worst when we hear ourselves... minus Lockhart, of course. *"Let me introduce you to your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher... me"*

Lockhart is a hilarious character in the HP books. Hopefully he'll have more appearance in the upcoming books though I don't know HOW... Maybe he gets so insane he writes that he knows stuff about Voldie. Eek, quite lame... ;D

Gilderoy is hilarious, both in the book and the film, Kenneth Branagh did a superb job as him! Not that many people in the cinema laughed at his lines, I laughed at every single one, whenever he was on the screen me and my mates were in fits, maybe it's just us who like him, most people seem to hate him!

Oh, I laughed at Kenneth Branagh too!!! The only problem is---that since they chose to cast *him*, I think they should've done away with the girls "ooing" and "ahhing" all over him. The more I think of it, the more unbelievable it becomes to me.

I just think he's hilarious and a great actor.

You mean, Lockhart in the movie? Really? Well, I STILL would buy the whole "teenagers ga-ga over Lockhart" a lot better if he'd been a candidate for "Best Looking" in high school. Donna
