If Jason Isaacs weren't already married, I'd marry him. Donna

sorri guys.. but both of them are ugly OLD men... if i had to pick one tho, it would be lucius but his evilness made him really appealing... in the book, gilderoy was supposed to look like this gorgeous hunk....and branagh(sp?) totally contradicted her description, and the girls loving him off was disgusting and personally, if i was in the movie, i would refuse to look like an ass and think some old man, who is probably the same age as their fathers, is hot... my opinion tho...lol ;D ;D

Lucius attractive??!! Sorry, but I don't think so, at all!!! That hair and that accent were very amusing though! 10 year olds who go ga-ga over Lockhart??! Are they insane??! Have they not seen Chirstian, Sean, Dan or Tom??! Much more their age and so much more appealing! Hehehe! ;D

Well, maybe if Branagh was any younger, he would be good-looking I found it hilarious at first that Branagh was casted as Lockhart... I quite imagined Lockhart to be younger. In fact, I imagine Lockhart to be something like Gaston in the Diseny Beauty and the Beast. But then Branagh acted like Lockhart and I find him quite good at it, it's just that I know he's old.

Hmmm...interesting...with right costuming....he could've played Lockhart (maybe a little young tho)....
I really think, the more the people involved with the casting of Branagh have time to look and think about it, the more they realize they were wrong---or, and maybe this would've been the better choice, since Branagh really did do a super job, they just could've kept the teen girls' swooning out of the whole freakin' thing.
Or..they could've gone the "unknown" route, as they did with Tom Riddle......

donna get u'r students and protest the casting of KB... make them hold signs like: "If i was 12, this man would be too old" and "Ewww...what were u guys thinking?" and "Just because he's famous doesn't mean he's gorgeous" lol i know they suck but hey, it's 1 am in the morning right now ;D

No, they DON'T suck-------they're great!!!! The last one is a classic. Pure classic. Hey, that really WOULD be funny, huh...if I got together a bunch of my students who are around 12, and take them down to Warner Bros. and we picket outside?! Huh?! The funny thing is, even if they didn't want to, they probably would anyway, just cuz I said....LOL...... ;D Donna

I must admit when I imagined Lockhart, I imagined him a lot younger and good looking, but Kenneth Branagh DID play a great part, its just they should have left the teen girls going ga-ga over him out of the film.

He's not that bad really! In the movie I mean....he's just so funny, if he was a bit younger he would be quite hot I guess.....but he's funny, my brother thought I was mad laughing at him (and I think I'm mad going with my brother to a movie!)...Oh well all good! ;DTEXT

Not seen 'Theory of Flight' but there's a 2 part drama called 'Shackleton' on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (I think) on Channel 4 with Kenneth Branagh in it, if anyone in the UK is interested.
