The Leaky Cauldron which was the only unofficial HP site at the NY press conference has set this up. They are taking donations for the auction for the card that JKR made for Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix. Anyone can donate whatever amount they want. If TLC wins, they will of course post the card on the site. They are also doing it for charity; if TLC does NOT win, ALL proceeds will go to a specific children's charity (I forget which one). Everybody, if you donate from another country, my understanding is that *they* will convert it---YOU don't have to. But, anyway, check out the link.

One of the reasons I think what TLC is doing is super is that I would like to not only see the card and/or donate to kids, but also I would *not* like to see some wealthy collector who hasn't even read the books get it.

You guys, I have the following COS figures:

• Dobby
  
• Lockhart
  
• Seeker Malfoy

• Seeker Harry
  
• Cast-a-Spell Harry
  
• Cast-a-Spell Ron

• Chamber of Secrets Harry
  
• Professor Snape Rogue
  

When I saw them online at amazon and etoys before the stores had them, I ordered them. At the stores--ie Walmarts and ToysRUs's that I've been to, the Harrys are plentiful. The LEAST plentiful are the Dobbys and Lockharts---I've literally seen only a few of them. sylvanlaneshoppe.com had 3 Hermiones (the new COS) but they were $30 each and frankly I think that's way overpriced. I suggest trying amazon or etoys.

My understanding is the next 'wave' of COS figures will be released in January or so, with possibly a Ginny coming up, too. I hope that there are more Hermiones--is Hermione more plentiful in Europe or is she just a problem over here?
