I dunno.....I was just assuming that his lack of a British accent is due to his classical training....I had to take a Speech class in college and learn how to pronounce words correctly (believe me, EVERYONE's saying them wrong--lol) for my theatre major. Lizifer, that's REALLY funny!!!!! Everyone must've been thinking, "Gee, who is Christian Coulson? And since I don't know who Christian Coulson is, I wonder even more how and why this young lady knows who he is and I don't." Angela....hmmm....you have wracked me with fear, young lady!!!!!!! Yes they might be emphasizing Gilderoy Lockhart's character.......I mean on that Oprah show they had kids talking about the movie and no one even mentioned Tom Riddle!! (And they usually mention villains!!!) Obviously this is irksome. I mean, the entire plot of the movie does not revolve around Lockhart (as much as someone like Lockhart actually would think it would).....it revolves around the petrifyings that are occurring around the school and the trio's determination to find out who is actually causing them....leading to....the CLIMAX in which Harry encounters.......THE VILLAIN. I mean, I HOPE there are flashbacks and we don't see Christian only in the Chamber (altho he mentioned working with Richard Harris). Books provide much more leniency for expansion of everything; in the books, everything can be fleshed out, but in an instance such as this---turning a long book into a 2 1/2 hour movie----they have to make choices on what to emphasize and what not to emphasize. Am I the only one who can barely wait till the movie is out? AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Donna

>Am I the only one who can barely wait till the movie is out? >AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH You're not alone. I have three books underneath my pillow: Portrait of a Lady, Threepenny Opera and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I've read all of them with the exception of Threepenny Opera. I read before I go to bed, and it just so happens that I've been reading HPCoS every night. ;D Yesterday, I purchased tickets for Thursday midnight showing. So excited!! Eeek!

Lizifer, you have dolls too? LOL.....I just got the new COS action figures----the 3 Harrys, Ron, Rogue Snape, Seeker Malfoy, Dobby, and Lockhart. I've heard that soon they'll be releasing Ginny and Tom Riddle. ;D Imagine that!! A Tom Riddle to carry in your pocket!!! LOL As far as worrying about the cinemas "packed with kids"---I went to an 8:00 pm HPSS show last year and there were, like, 5 kids. Of course, that may have been because I live near Warner Bros., and half the employees could've been there, for all I know....lol..... Donna

yeah i have dolls/action figures! just bought my legolas 1 from 'the two towers' 2day! i haven't bought any harry potter 1s yet, i do want draco, snape, dobby and of course tom tho i'm gonna try and persuade some1 to either go see it during the day when the kids are at school or at a late showing.... the 1st time i went to see the 1st movie, i went to a late night showing and there were no kids there. the 2nd time i made the mistake of going when all the kids were on holiday from school so that wasn't too good

I want to go buy some figures this week, just in celebration of CoS Hopefully if I go more than once this time, I'll be able to go to all the late showings. I really don't want to be stuck during the day with all the kids... man I still think that was the worst.

A Tom action figure... hmm, makes me think of voodoo rituals, heehee At least they are making one... I agree also, how come those people don't understand how Tom is IMPORTANT to the plot. Hel-lo, he IS Voldemort, and if I am not mistaken if it weren't for this Dark Lord there will be no killing, ergo no Harry with that scar? The should have at least emphasized on the importance of Tom Riddle... they should have had put MORE Tom, not just for CC's sake (but of course...)! By the way, which part of England CC's from anyway? And what is his year of birth , really? I read somewhere--- 1976?

i've got a crap memory so i can't really remember but i'll try he's from down south somewhere, london area i think, as for year of birth, i thought it was 1978 but as i said i have a crap memory so i dunno! warner brothers are idiots that's why they pay no attention to tom riddle! lol that's the only explanation i can think of!

Yeah they really have no idea....how important he is...the whole freakin' 7 book saga is regarding Harry vs. Voldemort aka the person who gave him that scar and made him famous to begin with.....LOL....
Christian was born October 3, 1978. I think it's listed in the Biography section on this site, isn't it (?)

there was probably too many things to put into the movie, so like Fotr they didn't have a chance to put their own spin on it...so they just did the book word for word and basically didn't focus on anything specific...but since lockhart and malfoy sr. where in it more often than tom riddle was... they had to show more of them than CC... ;D that sucks...but there's always book 5.6.7...YA-YA!!! ;D
