Too old is right  I guess I could sit through either, but it depends if I want to see the movie like really bad. and with CoS, well that's obvious. |

Just seen 20 minutes of COS, countingdown.com has 15 clips from the movie you need quicktime to view them. Anyway, good news and bad news. Columbus sh*tter savaged Tom Riddle diary, harry/Tom correspondence is limited to "Do you know anything about Chamber of secrets?" "Yes" (is that CC`s signature, BTW?), "Can you tell me?" "No" "Ew" "But I can show you" Light and the diary sucks Harry in. No "Hi, I`m Tom Riddle,etc,etc" lets hope Tom gets more space in the diary. Also, Filthy Little Mudblood scene is totally messed up for we don`t see Gryffindore kids pissed but only Draco and hermione exchanging mean glances after Draco`s infamous quote and Ron yelling "You`ll pay for this Malfoy, eat slugs!" than his wand backfiring the curse on him. You don`t get why Ron saw red, in the book you could see it was a major insult cause all students were disgusted.
The good: flying car is spiced up and insanely funny. Lucious malfoy rocks and gets some awesome line exchange with Harry that isn`t in the books:
LM (grabbing Harry`s head and revealing his scar): "You`re scar is the legend...as is the wizard who gave it to you"
HP:" Voldemort killed my parents, he`s a murderer, nothing more"
LM:"you`re brave for saying his name...or foolish enough"
And the way he handles his boy Draco...cooool! Plus, Ginny girl is awesome, creepy, perfect Voldemort`s bride. And radcliffe is so good at doing tough stare which is tricky to pull off through geeky glasses but somehow he manages. F*ck branagh, he isn`t as impressive as the guys I mentioned above.
No scenes with CC though, best kept secret.
Also, I`ve read Time Europe`s review of COS, positive but the eviewer was more intersted in predicting that Two Towers would make more money at the box office than in reviewing COS. BTW, HP vs LOTR box office battle is pointless this year cause none of them can beat Spiderman`s $403 mio domestic gross by the end of 2002, so offical winner is Spidey.

unless when HP opens it gets about 100 mil...4 weeks in a row...

anyways, i went to countingdown.com, is it as slow for u guys as it was for me? becuz i waited 3 min for the HP page to load...and then i just gave up ;D
and i trust u'r word Rom.... so i dun really have to see them...BUT, there's these pics of HP ppl, on this messege board that's on the front page...and i saw these really good pics, of Emma, Dan and Tom...and of myrtle, there was also a pic of when dan found emma petrified..so i dunno, u guys should checkout the site...it's really kewl!!

I saw most of the clips. It was going really slow for me too! I didn't get to see like three [ including the Lucius one =/ ] because real player was being an idiot..
I'd also like to mention that there is probably more things with Harry and the diary before he asks do you know anything about it, because obviously he wouldn't write that if he didn't know the diary wrote back yet..
*sigh* HP has to be getting somewhere this year.. everyone thinks CoS is better so it should be getting more than the first, which was a lot. Hopefully reaching the point where Spiderman got..?? Yeah dream on lol

Better movie doesn`t necessary mean bigger boxoffice take and $967 mio worldwide is difficult to top especially when facing competition such as next Bond movie opening just a week after COS. I doubt that HP 2 can top Spiderman in US because Spidey is American icon, however, no doubt that HP (as well as LOTR) are much bigger internationally than the web slinger. Also, COS is going to be darker and darker doesnt bode that well with boxoffice (for example, the best and darkest Star Wars movie ESB has the smallest box office take).
As for diary thing it begins with Harry`s quil making an ink drop on the paper and disappearing and harry instantly starting to write "Do you know anything..." so looks like they wrapped it up really fast, no "WTF?" the wiz kid just got it in an eye blink. I didn`t like that. I think that Columbus doesn`t have flare for directing for he makes scenes that should be longer shorter while the one`s that scream "Cut!" go on and on.
