Just a general question... what made you guys pick on your username? This is the first time I used Mandragora, and I admit I just love the sound of it... and the whole idea of the plant in HP (those living fetuses with cabbage leaves for hair). Quite surprisingly, though, I read somewhere that the mandragora is a plant that feeds on the sperm of dead men... I think that's based on some folklore though it is really a plant, found mostly in Europe. The sperm of the dead men thing... I think it's quite symbolic. In my case anyway. But no, I don't prefer them dead, though it seems like the guy-object of affection here (Christian!) seems to be dying everywhere! So why the username?

This is the first time I'm using a username that doesn't have some basis in music or a song. I usually go by a shortened phrase out of the song "Building a Mystery"-- having to do with "where the dark side's light and the vampires roam." Either that, or I've taken things from the Central Avenue Blues era... or "Winter Motive."
Sampaguita, as some of you already know, is the Filipino name given to a type of Arabian Jasmine that grows in Southeast Asia... more commonly in the Philippines. What haven't I said about my username before? I stole it from one of the characters I'm writing... It's her nickname-- her real name is Julie/t... and she might have killed a man.

Let's see... a girl, who could have killed a guy, with a nickname after the small flower usually threaded together by nylon as the usual adornment of the divine images. I'll give it a try. Her intentions of killing are that to highlight the goodness... as represented in stones or images? ;D Kidding. You know what, Hesaki, when I saw your username I first thought you were Japanese!

some of you may remember that when i first posted i was geminidragoness - which is what i almost always am in forums, chat etc. but i couldn't login on that name so i just randomly became MrsRiddle.
have any of you heard about who's up for playing Cho Chang? heres a list i found:
-Melissa Kwak -Sarah Lee -Kaitlin Mandrake -Camilla Belle -Nina Ermin -Kristen Kreuk
out of them i hope Camilla Belle gets it cos she's the girl that played young sally owens in Practical Magic!! and she's beautiful and would make a good Cho Chang.
what do you guys think?

hmmm well the reason i chose this name is cos ... well there's a lil bit of a story behind it actually,in school with the big group i hang around with,me and some of my closest friends were talking about the harry potter books once, and they came across the word voldemort and one of my friends said the word all as one sounded really sexy...lol.and i started saying "I bet his pet name is voldie! ooo voldie what a nice name u have!" lol n it stuck really, and the _M part...that just stands for mort lol

well, anyone who's better read than me will know that dulcinea is a character from don quixote... which i keep meaning to read, so obviously that's not why i used it... it's the name of a cd by my favorite band, and i just think it's a beautiful name.

On Alias, 'Freelancer' is the CIA codename Syd uses on her missions.
I'm an Alias junkie. ;D

Actually, you're pretty close. The guy's death is necessary for a greater good. And if she kills him (I haven't decided whether she's guilty yet), it'll be out of her sense of responsibility to what she believes in. There are a lot of complicated threads in this story... and I've only just started setting the story and characters up. I'd send it to you, but I'm afraid you'll laugh... And hesaki, I thought you might have been Japanese as well. Wait... you've only told us you live in Germany, for all we know you still could be Japanese by ethnicity. Sorry... just thinking and typing at the same time... Tell me if you find this speculation offensive-- and if you do, I'll delete it.

I picked MsPoet because I've been writing stories etc since I was 5....I wrote poetry beginning in high school....I've been writing poems in sonnet form (3 quatrains and a couplet), in iambic pentameter since I was 17. There is nothing quite like the joy I feel when I complete one. One of you proposed we write poetry re Tom Riddle/Christian, and I've been trying to think of one ever since. Freelancer, I dunno how your username got past me! Alias is an AWESOME show!!!!!! Donna

Mine's pretty obvious. My name is Amy (althoug all my friends call me Aims not Amy) and I'm Australian. Although I usually use things like Aims, or Aims80 (my birthyear) if Aims is taken.

Hmm...I wish I had a more meaningful username now. Oh well, I still like the sound of Jen Coulson...On another board, I'm Aphrodite Riddle. Long story behind that, but Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love and beauty.

Dulcinea... is that band, uh, Toad the Wet Sprocket or Better Than Ezra? That album sounds awfully familiar, one of the really good ones in the mid-90s... unless it's another album title of an Australian band. I did try to write a poem about Tom Riddle (am a little hesitant about Christian, though, I can't explain why)... but maybe after work. The last one I wrote verses about Henry Winter (sorry if you've been reading a lot about this fictional character), and I wrote it while waiting for an exam to start! I have about three pieces on him, all of the same theme... good thing the exam was postponed the next meeting ;D I also have one for Camilla, from Henry's point of view. I also have another username, and I got the name off the character in this show from cable called "The Hunger", a modernist-surrealist version of "the Twilight Zone", and at some point David Bowie hosted it. It's a bit like "Night Visions". By the way, this character is a mysterious girl who never gets killed when someone sticks a sword through her, and she's the star of that show called "The Swords". It is because of this 'membrane' that she herself can't explain. She gets killed, eventually, since that she discovers that the only thing that can penetrate through her is love, so when she fell in-love, she went on with her show, and she then bleeds to die. I'm such a sucker for concepts like that
