Ok HERE's something. lol I was just over at www.snitchseeker.com/ and apparently there's a theory that Snape is a vampire. Hmmmmmm...there *looks* to be quite a bit of support for this.....I'm going to have to start re-reading asap! Oh btw I've started this new thread cuz the other HP predictions thread is 5 pages long.  :)Donna |

vampire? do they have vampires in the Wizarding World? but i mean, i could understand where they're coming from..
pale skin..in a dungeon opposed to a room with windows..but i doesn't explain, how he could watch quidditch, if it's in the sunlight..it has merit, but not enough
btw, i didn't read the article..so i'm pretty skeptical for now..lol ;D

yeah they have vampires angela, if i remember correctly one of lockharts books was called 'voyages with vampires' he wouldn't be able to go into the light if he was a vampire and stuff like that so i doubt its a possible story-line  |

You guys forget that Lupin would've turned into a werewolf on a regular basis except for a special potion. So if there's a potion for anti-werewolf<g>, there must be for anti-vampire.

Ok ok....look here people.....(TEACHER MODE  <<g>)..... Our assignment is to re-read the books!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then we'll have more foundation for our theories and can discuss them before June 21!!!!! Only FIVE months to go!!!! I am sooo excited, I even made a pin to wear on my lanyard to work yesterday. I printed out "and the Order of the Phoenix" in Hogwarts font, glued it to construction paper with a "Harry Potter" sticker and a Fawkes pic, laminated it, and stuck a pinback! ;D The date, "June 21, 2003" goes right under the pic!!!!! Some idiot with the Horn Book---a critic magazine or whatever, heard about the length of OOTP and asked sarcastically if there's actually an editor for the book. Silly, silly man. With HP, more is more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! giddy little Donna  Current HP prediction: OOTP will make $ (oh wait, it already has.... ) |

there's this article that was in the Toronto star yesterday, and it had a picture that was the "actual copy" of OoTP..well, the thickness anyway! here's the facts:
-768 pages (we get british version, slang and all!)
-.887 kilos
-97, 344 square centimeters (slightly smaller than an olympic sized pool)
-and it's 6cm by 14 cm

"Slightly smaller than an Olympic sized pool" ?! That's great. lol The American version is supposed to be even bigger. I guess cuz of the illustrations ? .... Hey frankly it doesn't matter how big it is....so *one* book is big....the HP books are great, absolutely great....if they're worried about if kids can't read it...well....the kids can freakin' take a break....it's just like reading 3 or 4 different books right in a row......and as for the weight, has anyone lifted an average upper elementary school textbook? The books not only cost freakin' $50---they weigh 20 lbs!!! Nevertheless, Current HP prediction: It'll be heavy. |

No...seriously.....there's illustrations...one at the start of each chapter....by Mary GrandPre....she's super. Personally I usually PREFER *no* illustrations...but I guess I like her work. For whatever reason, despite her illustrations, I'm STILL able to conceive of the characters in my own head. Another HP prediction: Hermione will solve a problem. |

I read that Snape-vampire speculation. Interesting.  It is possible that Snape is a vampire... but I don't think that if that is the case, Dumbledore wouldn't let him teach in Hogwarts. I mean, he could suck blood off students Unless, the case is the same as Lupin's but he only becomes a werewolf once a month, unlike the regular vampire which is 'round the clock. Hm... I think I want Hermione to make a mistake this time. And she and Ron will have more conflict. Maybe she'll be caught sending letters to Krum, hahaha. By the way, I remember another speculation that in Book 5 Hermione will be vacationing in Bulgaria, and that is supposed to set HArry jealous. I'll think more about the Snape-vampire thing, that adds an interesting angle |

i don't really want snape to be a vampire [i'm still not believing the theory] coz i love vampires but i doubt jkr could make me love snape or any other vampire she writes about!
i don't think i'd like illustrations in a book! they're ok in kids books but lets face it hp can't really be called kids books anymore! i re-read my 'the worst witch' books the other week, they have illustrations and i love them but only coz i've been reading them for like 15years!!
