I read this at a yahoo group thread: first off...where in the hell was i when this happened? secondly, what does this mean: seriously, there are some serious posers out there and rumour mongers and i noticed there are more rumours at the Yahoo group than there are here, which i'm happy about really...OMG

Huh? He supposedly came here on christiancoulson.com and posted that he's seeing a gorgeous girl right now? Hmm....Not that it's terrible if he's seeing someone...but....the whole thing seems confusing. Donna

I swear to god it's on the site... just click on "comments" on the December 3rd posting right under that picture.
And as to the rumor monger accusation... I do indulge in chisme (it roughly translates into "gossip" from Spanish) it keeps me going during finals week-- but I am interested in fact finding.
But seriously, Josh Kun (journalist, professor, DJ/VJ extraordinaire) would know (as he is acquainted with Mr. Coulson) but is too much of an ethical journalist to trust me. If you don't believe me, e-mail him yourself @ (god is he gonna kill me for giving this out) josh.kun@xxx.xxx or @ xxxxxx@aol.com
and check out his column "frequencies" @ sfbg.com he's appeared in other publications (Spin, Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, LA Weekly, Salon, and La Jornada) and you can catch him working at one of the MTV affiliates...
Sorry to bombard you with contact info, but I rarely print anything without having a source even on a forum and, yes, even when suffering from boredom. I'm not that irresponsible and it's just good practice seeing as I am a journalist in training.
Next time read what I write carefully-- I did cite where I found the quote (I don't fabricate texts-- something that's good practice to avoid as a University student). If you have a problem with the content, that's fine, but don't attack my research practices because, however frivolous the topic, I pride myself on journalistic integrity even when I take on a conversational tone.
I understand the poser accusation, but check my sources out before you blast my name to anyone and everyone that'll listen to you.

okay.. yes it is there.. BUT that leads us to question number 2(and more importantly): is that christian or is it someone who just wants to spread rumours??? I'm voting for the latter of the two...

I doubt Christian would post a comment like that if it were true. It's kind of immature, he doesn’t strike you as that does he lol Plus the English is wrong and he says 'fab'...I'm not convinced If by some strange twist, it was him, I'm happy for him lol (still don't think it is)

wow, i find it really hard to believe that he would actually take time and type that message as if to say "unless you all expect to go out with me, you should close this website because i have a girlfriend" like theres no point for us to be fans without that intent. and its kind of random of him to be so personal and then just blurt everything out to people he doesnt know....im sure that the quote cam from a legit place, but i dont think he said it either.

Actually, I quite agree, but I've known some hams that actually do that stuff, and it made me lose respect for men in his line of work (Dylan Bruno, Simon Rex... and the rest of the male "Going Greek" cast). As to the English Lit major stuff, I'm an English major and my conversational English can get pretty bad-- which might be noticable now. I don't really think it's true, but I'd like to know for sure... It's not because I'm hoping that I'll have a chance to turn his head (please! I live thousands of miles away!). I Think it has more to do with the fact that I like to know this stuff. Considering Walter Benjamin's theories on the "Aura" (the person-to-thing essence of a piece of art) and how film is a mechanical reproduction of performance that kills the "aura." This theory was expanded by Philip Auslander who said that the value of liveness is dead, but the audience still craves it. With this in mind, I think my desire to know whether or not Coulson is, in fact, single or not is my attempt at re-establishing the aura between myself as an audience member and him as performer... And therefore, sating my need for "liveness." Of course we love him as a performer, but his looks certainly do come into play. He's a bit of a camelion, isn't he? He rarely ever looks the same, really. I think that's part of his appeal as a performer-- particularly in the filmic realm. He looks different as the camera/editing construct him than he does when he takes initiative and stares down the barrel of the lens. I would have loved to see him as Salieri for this reason. If Gus Van Zant decides to re-make "Psycho" again, it would behoove him to cast Christian as Norman Bates because of this camelion-like quality. But I digress. It could be true, or it could not be. My opinion leans toward the latter, but you never know. (As for my credibility in mentioning the "Going Greek" guys, the independant film was filmed on location at my University in Fall Qtr 2000-- I interviewed them as they went online and messed with fans on various message boards. If you ask me, that was really stupid. Some of them weren't well known at all and needed all the fans that they could get. The script supervisor was nice, though.)

I don't think it's real. He seems too private to do that. Plus its kind of childish...it sounds americanised to me...but I could be wrong. If he said he didn't have a girlfriend on a webchat he isn't likely to be posting that he has on a website, even if he really didn't at the time...lol losing my train of thought now but anyway he would have emailed Ashley right? Not commented on a post or whatever. Anyway if it wasss him, this site has been approved, so it's Official now right? I could go and post something similar on a comment and who'd know it was mine? I don't believe it for a second. doesn't seem like his style.

Real or not, it certainly does have us talking. Which was the intent of whoever (with the stipulation that it was fake) posted it. Which might lead to the question as to who posted it and why? As for me, I think it was that dashing little trouble-maker, young Sirius Black! -- kidding, only kidding.

(HAHAHAHAHA) It's quite crazy, don't you think? That a week ago he was saying on tv that he's single and now something comes up that Christian Coulson came to this site and commented that he's seeing a gorgeous girl. First of all, why type it under the 'comments' of a Dec 3 thread? Does that mean, if ever it's true that he did type it, during the Newsround interview either they broke up or was 'forced' to say the fabricated statement, "Yes, I am (single)" ? If it's true, again, Christian is jeopardizing his career (or say, his reputation based on availability). I don't know about you guys, but his image is going to be quite tainted, especially to those who are hoping he's still single, and coming from him himself that he 'is' added plus points to his status as 'eligible'; then there's this supposedly message-typed-by-CC that he's not. That is quite aggravating. If it is sure again, I am going to be quite disapointed with him: all this time I thought he was articulate, and then he types a message with too many exclamation points: "Hey Guys Thanks for making such a fab page about me! But unfortunately i am no longer single! I am seeing a gorgeous girl right now! " Honestly, the statement sounds like it is written by someone by a pink-faced, bubblegum-chewing, demented CHICK, who calls everyone "Hunnybunny". (no offense to those who ARE pink-faced, bubble-gum chewing, demented chicks here, if there are some around here ) But then again, I said this before and I am saying this again: I don't see the point in DECEIVING people just to be famous and well-liked and being included in such lists as "Dateable Studs" (pertaining to singletons), because if in fact he's not dateable at all, he should have said it at first. I know he doesn't owe us the truth, but when you think about it, he's now a subject of rumors such as THIS. If he can tolerate it, good, but he's just starting with his career. It's just too soon.
