I DO have a thing for writers, I just haven't met a DECENT one in real life. Hmmm... if there's something in common with all the men in my life... they have turned FAILURES after breaking my heart, nyahahahahahaha. That was a joke. But partly true Oh well, all the aspiring male writers I met have one thing in common though, they're too angst-ridden it can be highly irritating. That's why no writer has caught my attention yet, so far they're repulsive.

Yeah, they do tend to have a bit of the darkness, don't they? "Buddy" had darkness dripping from behind his eyes, and was wont to brood quite often. And once it disturbed me when we were talking about Machiavelli, and he was illustrating with examples from his life. Coulson does remind me of him very much... everything but the accent and the hair...
Darn my weakness for skinny intellectuals!

Skinny intellectuals! I prefer them tall, with a sense of adventure. I wonder if Christian has climbed a mountain, gone scuba diving... what I REALLY want is someone with a great sense of humor with matching wits (oohh... Steve Martin) but with a hint of darkness. Something like he cracks everyone up, but his book collection has Dante and Kundera and he can play (or listens to) Rachmaninoff. Christian as Tom Riddle casts a very attractive dark side, but during the interview, he's like a shaft of light or something. If he were a flower, he wouldn't be a daisy. He's more of an orange tulip to me. Ah, no, more of like a green rose. "But you cannot have a green rose. But perhaps somewhere in the world you could". So that makes me the orange tulip

"Buddy" wasn't darkness all the time. He actually had a pretty good sense of humor... and was pleasant, energetic, and idealistic as all h311. But there were times when those green eyes would darken with pain, anger or whatever else... and I saw it more than most people who were around at the time. Especially when he was 23 and I was 16... sometimes it wasn't fair. (Nothing inappropriate, but a 16 yr old girl should NOT have to worry about a 23 yr old man's problems.) But look at me, "why, I am growing quite sentimental." [pg 646 GoF]
Perhaps I am drawn to Christian because he reminds me enough of "Buddy" but is safer to admire... Christian Coulson can't drag me into his "building a mystery."

I wonder, do green rose and orange tulip go together?
;D
Yep, Christian is a safe guy to admire, utterly harmless. There is less (or none?) contact, we don't know him personally and we have no idea how really his eyes light up in closer proximity when he laughs, thinks of a joke or be reminded of a memory.
Admiring celebrities can be a safer way to go, but I guess not when it edges to some sort of fatal attraction and impulsive obssession.
*checking Christian Coulson gauge: normal, bordering to sentimental scenes aboard an escalator: safe*

LOL. I always thought his eyes were brown, but I think they just might be blue. If you look at the publicity photo of him in his Tom Riddle costume, his eyes look icy blue-grey. They also look blue in the Romeo and Juliet pics.

His eyes are as green as a pickled toad. Green. 100% green.

Often, green eyes lookdifferent on camera---for example while watching TTT I took note of Sean Astin's very definite green eyes (we have much more pictorial examples of him). In some of the scenes his eyes looked to be brown.

Dan Radcliffe's eyes looked very blue in the second movie. There's a close-up when Dobby's in his room, and his eyes were so unbelievably blue-looking.

Okay, I changed my mind. CC's eyes are way green. I just noticed in the Forsyte Saga while he's shooting.
