Some of my favourite movies: Flash Gordon, Harry Potter, James Bond, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings and Tomb Raider. I especially like science fiction. My favourite Disney movie is The Beauty and the Beast.

One of my friends is like that, too. She even has all the Disney character dolls....when a new movie coomes out...she goes to a store and purchases every doll for that particular movie...it is like her own personal ritual!...Then of course there is her closet of the MOVIES! heh heh

I loved the original Aladdin... I wasn't too fond of the Lion King-- but then I saw the hilariously cute sequel. For some reason Kovu reminds me of Draco Malfoy and his adopted sister reminds me of Pansy Parkinson. It's really very strange. Well, I guess the Kovu thing can be explained-- he does the eyebrow thing that Tom Felton does in CoS...
I recommend Simba's Pride for a good laugh-- if only to watch Rafiki tell the spirit of Mufasa that he's out of his mind.

I am not really a sequel Disney person. I do not think I have seen any of the sequels to ANY Disney movie...WAIT! I take that back! I saw the second Aladdin...I thought it was silly. I collected The Little Mermad merchandise: watch, sleepig bag, huge stuffed Max, shirts, nite gowns...blah blah blah

I like that movie too! I used to cry when they put that cartoon shoe into that liquid stuff....I think it was a shoe...I don't know. It has been a while since I have seen that movie!
Have you heard that part where Aladdin says, "Down kitty! Down Kitty! Take off your clothes??" At least it sounds like it!

Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin rule as Disney movies! Kids today just don't remember what a good Disney movie was like. There is so little hype surrounding them these days, now they're all computer animated. Ah, I wax nostalgic about the good old commercialized Disney days. And don't even get me started on my nostalgia for 80's cartooons and the horrible state cartoons are in today!

Oh, speaking of Disney animation, I have always been a "The Little Mermaid" fan, not because they did another interpretation of Andersen's original story (which is a whole lot better) but because of the music. One of the most romantic songs I've heard has got to be "Kiss the Girl" and the second "Part of Your World", the one where Ariel sings on the rocks... it's a very good song of frustration and desire! You gotta give it to that Disney composer... is it Tim Rice... nope, I think this guy died years ago. ANYWAY. Japanese anime is one of the very good ones, in my opinion. "Nausicaa", "Princess Mononoke", and of course, the Japanese anime where "The Matrix" got their concept, "The Ghost in the Shell"... I am NOT a Pokemon nor a Ghost Fighter fan though! ;D But heck, "Final Fantasy" might be a little absurd, but the animation is really good (though, I don't think it is mechanical animation at all!), and "Titan AE". I got to see some French animation-shorts, and they're quite innovative and funny, I must say. Oh, 80s cartoons... does any of you remember "Jem and the Holograms"? "Garbage Pail Kids"? "The Ghostbusters"? Ah, the camaraderie of Saturday cartoons!

I watched My Little Pony, Rainbow Brite, and I don't remember...The Smurfs....I was a typical little girl watching typical little girl cartoons. I liked bright colors.

Jem and the Holograms were the best! I loved them so much. Also all the "girl" shows...Lady Lovely Locks, Rainbow Brite, etc. Sweet, sweet 80's cartoons.
You know what I used to be obsessed with? *blushing* Sailor Moon! I used to eat, sleep and breathe that show. And I was 14! I used to wish so desperately that I could be a sailor scout.
