Well I've done art on the computer here, but I STILL have watercolor paper and canvases and brushes and tubes etc etc etc....it's all good.... Speaking of Walt Disney, I think he'd be very upset about a lot of things. Jungle Book II?! Gimme a break! ..... One of the things I think he'd be most upset about would be Disneyland. The Magic Kingdom isn't what it used to be. It used to be, every corner and nick and cranny would be hoppin'. Now there's no submarine ride, or motorboats, no 2nd Autopia....that area's wasted!---meanwhile across the way in what used to be the parking lot, is California Adventure, an exciting park where I can go see California!!! WOW!!! OMG, you mean I've lived here my entire life and now I can go seeeee California?! OMG!!! Walt Disney had wanted the public to FORGET about the "real world"---how can I do that in California Adventure?! In fact, my mom and I were there right before it opened and we got in free. Anyway, we were in a store on Main Street in The Magic Kingdom and I was telling a "cast member" how I thought that the executives must've been drunk on the weekend they went off to brainstorm and okayed the idea of California Adventure. My mom told me that a couple of men in suits were nearby listening...but apparently they didn't REALLY listen, cuz that was several years ago, and California Adventure is still open. As for the movies, I love the computer animation but the traditional is wonderful, too. They shouldn't really make plans of stopping---they should simply use the right manner in consideration for each subject/story. enough of my ranting. lol Donna

No submarine ride? What happened to it? I've got photos from that one when I went there as a kid in '91.

No submarine ride? What happened to it? I've got photos from that one when I went there as a kid in '91. It's gone. Nothing in its place. Nada. Zilch. It closed in '97 or '98. I know because I have pics of my final ride in my Disneyland scrapbook. That Fantasyland Autopia is gone, too (nothing there now but the empty roads where the cars used to be). And of course the Motorboat Cruise is barren, too...just barren. Empty water and roadways. They're just not paying attention to the Magic Kingdom anymore, which is especially unfortunate because it used to be considered the focal point of all Disney. >:(Donna
