Orly's Tattoos

I just read that Orly has two tattoos: a sun on his stomach, and an Elvish 9 on his back!!!!!!!!

So? The point is what? We should get them too, CC should get one? It`s an old news. So many celebs have tatoos that it isn`t interesting or cool anymore. I`m quite impressed with Russell Crowe not falling a victim to tatoo mania.

As for Orly,how about getting some acting skills instead of tatoos? He`s by far the worst actor in TTT, awful line delivery. I know that he`s hyped the next Tom Cruise (like 100+ other good looking new comers) but unlike Orly Tom has talent, he isn`t the King of Hollywood thanx to pure luck. What would become of Orly after LOTR series run its course (after 2004) will be interesting to see. he`s yet to prove whether he can open a movie (cause what opened LOTR weren`t actors but LOTR brand name). I give him that he`s awfully handsome but I`m sorry his acting sux bollocks.

Apparently Elijah Wood and the rest of the cast from the Fellowship all had similar "9" tattoos (not sure specifically if that is the design) done on different parts of their bods.

Orly is one of the hottest guys on earth, but he's not really my type. He's too daredevilish (think "Jackass").

Yeah, I read somewhere that he had his stand-in do it (I can only assume because of the permanence and/or pain involved). They all got it in different areas....I think Orlando's is on his arm as he said on Regis&Kelly last year (Um, btw, where is his publicist that he's not on any talk shows this year? He was going to be on E!News Live last Friday and he wasn't---I had the tape all ready, and I was sitting on the couch excited/nervous<g>---and he wasn't on! )

Ahem. I digress.

Elijah got his done on his abdomen....and they'd all made a pact to never show it on camera, but when Elijah was on The Tonight Show last week, Jay Leno told him that Ian McKellen showed his, so Elijah was like, "Oh he did? Oh, ok then," and lifted up his shirt.

And Orlando is DEFINITELY my type.

yeah i thought orlandos was on his arm, i think ian and sean bean and dom have theirs on their arms too. oh i found out the other day that dom has this cute little star tattoo on his foot (at least i think its a real one!)

i don't really have a 'type' but i like orlando, but i prefer dom

there was this one hour LOTR special on TV the other day...it was on showcase and the history channel...
while i was watching it, all i could think of was "Why didn't they have something like this for CoS?? WHY!!"

Showcase special is Return to Middle Eath, great stuff, more fun than movie iteslf and that says something. These guys are real friends and had lots of fun. There was lot of Orlando, infact, more of him than of other actors who have more important roles probably due to fangirls` demand.

As for being cynical, that`s how I react to people who scream a 2 years ago news as if it`s just in. Not to mention that this is not an orly board to deserve special thread. I do think, however, that we should get entire board for off topic debate, including Orly. There are boards where nobody posts so why not have one just for OT? Debate here is getting dull with all those crappy dream threads, no offense but enough is enough.

Well, they DID do specials on COS---altho the special on HBO was freakin' only 15 min. long! (actually all of HBO's making of's are that long).

Plus...actually...they DO have more background and expansive material to deal with from LOTR. But...yeah..you're right...Warner's and the HP producers SHOULD provide us with more "extras"!!!!!!

There was a special on in Canada, on the Space channel (channel 55 in Toronto) It was about an hour long. But it focused more on the book and its characters, than the actual movie
