If Cho is cut, it won't be because of JKR. It'll because the moviemakers consider her not a big enough part in POA to make the movie, even tho WE know that it helps establish the character (and ahem, Harry's) for later on.

After reading dozens of theories about the end of the Harry Potter series, I think that Chapter 14 of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is highly overlooked. All of the predictions that Harry and Ron made up for Divination came true, but not necessarily on the exact date that was set. Harry was burned by the Hungarian Horntail. Harry lost a treasured possession; ie. Ron. Ron got in a fight and Harry lost his bet; Ron won his fight. Ron "drowns" and so on. Harry laid down his quill too, having just finished predicting his own death by decapitation. Will Harry meet his end just as he foretold? It all goes back to CoS. The sorting hat may direct you into whichever house it sees fit, but in the end it is all based on individual choices. Harry could have ended up in Slytherin, but he ended up in Gryffindor because he wanted to be in Gryffindor. *taps chin* At the same time, how much of what happens is left to fate? Some things are out of our control [see Hagrid's speech at the end of GoF and the rest of the HP series]. One thing is for sure, Divination is certainly not a class that should be completely discredited. Why else would there be a class for it? This is all purely speculation, I assure you. Any takers? Comments?

Wow, the only predictions I noticed came true was when Harry was looking at Ron's tea cup, and predicted 'Trials and suffering' but was going 'to be very happy' And that's what happened so to speak, Ron helped Hagrid with Buckbeack's trial, and suffering I'm guessing was when Ron thought Crookshanks had eaten Scabbers and he hated Hermione for a bit. Then at the end of the book he was happy because they'd saved Sirius and Buckbeak.. Of course, this was in Prisoner of Azkaban..
But as you can see, there's tiny details in the books that always seem to foretell the ending.. That's what's brilliant about Rowling's writing, you don't notice it until you actually read the ending. (Or at least I don't notice.)

yeah u don't notice the things like that till u either finish the book or re-read it, well thats when i notice the smaller details anyway!
just something i'm sure everyone has noticed but i'm gonna point out anyway, in GOF the references to mrs figg, harry's baby sitter when he was younger and living witht he durleys, reveal she's a witch. unless of course there happens to be 2 mrs figgs mentioned in the books!

I suspect that Mrs. Figg was Harry's Secret-Keeper. Voldemort says somewhere in the fourth book that he can't hurt Harry while he's at his Aunt and Uncle's house.
Also, more proof the Mrs. Figg is a witch would be that at the Quidditch World Cup the tents that they had reminded Harry of Mrs. Figg's house, and that it smelled like cats. Also, Mr Weasley said he borrowed the tents from 'an old friend'. Coincidence? I think not! ;D
Plus, at the end when Dumbledore was talking about the 'old crowd' he was talking to Mr or Mrs Weasley, I think, which would support the theory on Mrs. Figg being a witch and an old friend of theirs...
Also, I think that Crookshanks MAY be an Animagus, or (like was said before) half Kneazle.
Oh! And in the CoS book, when in that Dark Arts shop, Draco wanted to buy the Hand of Glory; and in the movie Draco kept stealing things. I think this is a sign that he won't be following in his father's footsteps.

yeah i think mrs figg could be harry's secret keeper, it makes sense and the evidence saying she knows the weasleys is there too like u said i don't think draco will become like his father, there's gonna be a twist with him in the books i think somewhere.

and i still think think that mrs. norris has something to do with the plot... do u think she and mrs. figg are friends or sumthing...?
hmmm, i really don't have any theories that haven't been said sumwhere and that i haven't already read, so i mean, kudos to u guys!
btw, JKR has to think up of brands new plots becuz her fans are stealing them with all their "theories" i know that if i read the same theory in a message board, and i read it in the books, i would think that she wasn't original and that's probably one factor of why she's taking so long to write the dang series...

I seriously doubt that JKR spends any time lurking around message boards or any sites at all that have to do with HP, if she spends any time on the computer at all. Besides, even if *some* of what we think may happen actually *does* happen, I'm sure she'll still have some surprises up her sleeve. I just read on the Leaky Cauldron that Sotheby's (if I recall correctly) is going to auction off a card with a sort of preview of Book 5. TLC *may* have visitors (ie us) donate `$1 and then they'll get it (hopefully) and post it for us all to see. Donna

yeah it's a good idea for the leaky cauldron to do that, i just can't understand why 1 individual person would want to spend that ammount on it!
